    Agreed, quite dark and thumpy, without the brightness and mids of TI flats. To my hands, they don't 'feel' as low tension as TI flats which I attribute not to the tension itself but to the fact the A and D are somewhat chunkier and less flexible feeling than the TI equivalents

    Playing my longest ever gig tonight. Two sets for a total of c.2 hours. Back should be fine (debut of sub 7lb Serek Midwestern bass).

    Thank you folks for all your feedback and thoughts. The result: I have bought an Elf (the slight poll winner) and, together with my Sansamp DI pedal, hopefully have all eventualities covered should my amp du jour (now an Orange Terror Bass) go belly up on a gig.

    Hiya, its a super-light 2x12 I would be after, so that my (your old!) Barefaced BB2 would be for small/medium gigs and the 2x12 for big gigs and non-PA assisted gigs
