I bought these brand new (for £35) to instal on a string-through-body Fender Jazz bass and trimmed the E, A and D accordingly. After less than a day (and no more than a couple of hours' playing time), off they came to be replaced by my tried-and-tested TI Jazz flats. How about one-third off, so £23 posted?

Thanks Karl, I am cognizant of the fact there would be a lot to do to restore this - replacement wavy tuners (very spendy and hard to get hold of), new scratchplate, replacement 70s style bridge pickup etc. Hopefully at this price, this makes allowance for a possible resto job. The accompanying box of replacement pickups and parts (Retrovibe etc) could also be sold off piecemeal to help defray the outlay a little. Alternatively, it sounds pretty damn good to my ears and I think looks v cool, as is!

Roy bought my Handbox WB-100 and travelled all the way to London to collect. Very friendly and he was super patient when we sorted out some technical issues ... I am delighted to say that it all turned out brilliantly in the end, with everyone happy 🙂 Highly recommended

High quality big muff pedal in very good condition. The blurb says: "The GREY STACHE is based upon the GGG-tuned and Civil War versions of the EHX Big Muff Pi, creating one versatile guitar AND bass-friendly monster! The tone stack features the ability to keep the unit at "stock" (scooped mids) or boost the mids (important for bassists to punch through in the mix). We offer many mods to allow the user to get everything s/he wants out of a muff." Selling as simplifying my pedal board setup with smaller, more basic (cheaper!) pedals. Cost me £149 a few months ago. £100 handed over in SW13 London, south of Hammersmith Bridge, or add on signed-for/tracked post at cost.

You know the drill, Swiss Army knife of an Ampeg SVT-flavoured preamp/DI/cab sim pedal, built like a tank. Very good condition (edit: just spotted it has a dead clothes moth on top, underneath the GE of VINTAGE, its not a ding!). Selling as simplifying my pedal board setup. £280 handed over in SW13 London, south of Hammersmith Bridge, or add on signed-for/tracked post at cost.

Try WhatsApp'ing Will on this number. Normally responds v quickly. Think he is also on BC as @Willfunk

Fair do's Bluewine. I mistakenly took your first reply to me as somewhat high handed and apologise if I came back as somewhat snarky. As @Mickeyboro rightly pointed out, different strokes for different folks. For me, music is a fun sideshow from my main day job(s) and consequently the money side is less important.

Just bought a lovely bass from Niccolo. The whole process from initial comms to delivery was flawless. Many thanks!

Good for you Bluewine. I don't have the opportunity to make money, playing in an originals goth/post-punk band (very niche audience). If I could make decent money doing this, I would of course happily do so. But it's not going to happen and I am fine with that as it's a hobby (like watching football, which costs me a lot each year for my two Arsenal season tickets). To paraphrase you: not getting paid to have fun is also awesome

Oh my God. That's just awful. I bought and sold basses with Nick on many occasions (we used to vie for the most embarrassingly long feedback threads on BC) and he was just such a nice, easygoing guy. He plainly adored his wife Alice (and their dogs) and I believe their favourite piece of music was "Alice in wonderland" by Bill Evans Trio. Leaving that here, thanks for the memories mate. Well, I gave the bass a try-out at a gig and it worked just fine (pic below) but its back up for sale. I will consider near offers on the asking price. No trades. Can also post as have box incoming. For full disclosure, one thing I noticed when setting up at the gig is the treble volume control had cut out, which I restored in a few seconds by giving it several 360 degree turns - I am pretty sure all it needs is a squirt of contact cleaner (or a few turns).

It was around 1hr 40 min journey both ways. TBH, it takes me most of that to get to rehearsals in NE London (I live in SW London)
