1. So what about the 'J' note I play from time to time?
2. Here's his gangnam style cover in case you missed it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd2pSLFjOas Wish we could get him to join BassChat! Can you imagine him turning up to a BassBash in leafy Surrey?
3. He has 30,000 subscribers to his video channel on YT too!
4. Hooray, he's back! Dodgy bottom shots aside, he is an amazing bass player
5. Here's my one and only attempt, backing Karena K doing a version of Northern Soul classic 'Temptation eyes' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDRVygSwpc0
6. Apparently there is no H note. Now I'm truly stuffed
7. Some more playing-on-the-stick style - oh and a bump! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn5cGelK0GU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz7jwHeCfs0
8. No worries Nige, if you change your mind the offer is there
9. PlatPro should help a lot - the phase switch alone might do it, let alone playing with the para EQ. Also try dampening the after-length of the strings with some foam or cloth. Your rig is perfectly good so its the resonance of the bass that needs a bit of taming. Also maybe play around with placement of your amp so it doesn't directly point at the bass
10. Here it is Nige http://basschat.co.uk/topic/127704-jazz/page__view__findpost__p__1802682
11. I have a suggestion Nige. I have reallly nice sonic blue CIJ 62RI Jazz (check the third from last page in the Jazz bass thread in Gear Porn for pics). You are welcome to borrow this for a few weeks and see if a Jazz is really what you want. You could A/B against your Streamer and make an informed decision about what you prefer. Let me know mate Would be a crying shame if you sold your Streamer for a song to get a Jazz and later regretted. You can always find a replacement Jazz but its almost impossible to replace your chrome Streamer (unless you want to shell out £2k for new ...)
12. Bought some CDs from Keith as a fund raiser for his local jazz & blues club. All good, as ever, with this fine gentleman
13. Here's a pic of Brian Wilson playing the bass this way in the Beach Boys back in the 60s
14. Porn indeed! Still like that 63 in seafoam best though
15.
This is a great bass Clarky! I really hope you find a buyer soon. I am sure all BCers already know you are a super trustworthy gentleman to deal with.
Most kind Roberto - if London and Perth weren't so far apart I would be tempted to try out your beautiful Duke bass thats for sale
16. bump, pointing out p/x and trade options mentioned a couple of posts back
17. [sup]Pics from previous FS thread, showing headstock etc and lovely grain to bubinga[/sup] [sup][/sup]
18. [sup]Its German, active and very very nice to play. I owned it. Only sold as it was a little heavy for me. See here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/163904-2008-warwick-corvette-fretless-bubinga-active-german-l400-barg-on-hold/page__p__1506360__hl__corvette%20fretless__fromsearch__1#entry1506360[/sup]

20. Hey Keith, put me down for the Ellington/Blanton era and the Milt Hinton please Please PM me with details of how best to pay. Hope your fund raising is a big success
21. On the bay as well (for more money) but would obviously rather do a deal with a trusted BCer http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130872426029?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
22. Sh*t, I have three fretless basses and two double basses. I really am in trouble
23. Clarky

Sold
Hi, where are you based ? Thx
In spirit of helpfulness, it says Sheffield underneath James' avatar (I guess you are on a mobile as I think the location tag doesn't appear on the mobile app)
24. Old timers do get gigs with originals bands - I'm 49 and the rest of my band is between 26-34 years old. Age isn't the determinant of joining a good originals band. Not being a twat generally is
25.
Same place it came from in the previous ten years. It just probably won't come from any of the bands that people who post on here are in.
Well so far a band in Columbus, Ohio has contacted me asking permission to cover one of our songs and a London DJ wants to sample another of our songs for a trance track. And thats just from an EP .... wait til the album comes out in July
