5. Was a lot of fun and first amp-less gig I have ever played. In case interested WoT, this was the setlist: Blue eyes * Life worth living New Madrid Give me back the key to your heart Whiskey bottle No depression Screen door Satan your kingdom must fall down Willin' * Sandusky I wanna be your dog * * covers that UT did (Blue eyes is a Gram Parsons track, Willin' is Little Feat, Dog is Iggy & Stooges obv!)
6. Many congrats, looks retro-tastic! A nice 50s cartoon/tattoo waterslide would look a treat on it https://www.pinterest.com/pin/461900505507050841/
7. Around 3 years ago I sold on a BassChat regular in the FS forums, an early 70s sunburst Precision that had been modded to have a Jazz width ebony fretless board, with added J pickup (so, a PJ fretless, cutting to the chase!) Think it was previously owned by BassBod, Beedster, Shaggy and possibly others. Did my first ever fretless recording on it and it was like a comfy pair of old slippers, in retrospect the nicest fretless I have ever owned. Sold it to a BCer who I have since nagged ceaselessly to sell back to me .... and he unsurprisingly won't (I wouldn't either)!
8. My newest project, the Tupelo Uncles
9. This is my acoustic tribute side-project to alt-country band Uncle Tupelo. Here we are playing at the Betsey Trotwood pub in Clerkenwell on Thursday night
10. Sold to Rabbie of this parish
11. Lozz sent me some strings and - as usual - all was good!
12. Apologies if posted before but Marcus Miller seems to be endorsing a low cost Jazz bass range http://marcusmillerb...ge/product.html Not in stock yet at Thomann but under £300 http://www.thomann.d...g_j_basses.html
13. Correction: headlining band have asked us to swap sets as their guitarist has to skedaddle early doors - we (Tupelo Uncles) are now on at 10pm
14. Thursday night, we are onstage about 9pm. All acoustic (no amps at all), with guitar/vox, bouzouki/mandolin, fiddle and yours truly bluffing his way on DB
15. Steve just bought a set of DB strings from me. As before, faultless and a pleasure
16. This? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/250608-fsft-fender-duck-dunn-precision/page__p__2629150__hl__duck%20dunn__fromsearch__1#entry2629150
17. I can answer Kedo, Harry is in the SE (in Kent). I can see you are in Edinburgh so its not a local pick-up!!!!
18. Perpetuating the BassChat circle of life, Gareth just bought back a bass that had already changed hands twice between us! One of BC's nicest most straightforward members and a pleasure to do biz with, as before. Enjoy that bass before we trade it another two times between us, lol!

20. Go to your BassChat profile page, then click the black box on right entitled 'Edit my profile'. Then go to menu on left and click 'Manage Attachments'. You will see all your previous pics and can delete them one-by-one so that you free up space and can upload new pics (everyone is restricted to 30MB of data storage on BassChat)
21. Excellent that it fits the bill, Chiliwailer. As a former owner I can honestly say it was the most finely crafted Precision I have ever owned and I have owned vintage Fenders, Alleva Coppolo's etc. Shame I couldn't handle the old school 1.75" nut width. Lovely bass and like a toy in weight!
22. Some of the ads are so badly matched to the videos too I quite often work withYoutube vids of chill-out/relaxed music in the background (eg flamenco chill-out or zen garden music) and invariably you have to sit through a 30-second ad for Grand Theft Auto or Ollie Murs latest video or that bloody nodding bulldog ...
