1.
I would prefer it if it was clean, but in the end it really doesn't matter. It's a great bass. It sounds and plays great which is all that really matters.
I know this is all personal taste but i hate to play a dirty bass, first of all for the feel, clammy under your hands eeeuuuuwww , and second of all the maintenance issue, fingerboards drying out, hardware rusting and seizing up etc. issues with the finish, clean off your acidic sweat and it will last longer. Watch your quality builder or craftsman when they finish work, tools CLEANED and then put away. Tools are expensive and only really need to be bought once if respected, and after all basses are our tools of the trade. Dave

I remember seeing Steve Brzezicki playing one when i saw him in Fish's band on the vigil in a wilderness of mirrors tour. Outstanding sounding bass loads of mmmwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

 11. Clearer images of the fingerboard, the marks are only surface they dont effect the sound and would come out with a very light sand.

 16. Been after an 8 string for a while now, didnt want to spend too much on one knowing it wouldn't get that much use, so just been down to Manchester to pick this up. Great construction, great sound and really nice player.
 17. Anyone got any experience or advice? I have been offered one but the compressor doesnt work. Is there anything to be wary of and what is the current going rate? Cheers Dave

 21. Its funny how most people want flexibility in an instrument. I have had and still got basses with 2 pickups, blend pots and eq on, yet i set one sound and leave it at that, ALWAYS. My main gigging basses are an overwater 4 and musicman. I can get the sound i want with both these basses and never touch the controls. I don't think i could see a need to change them. I think that's why I'm satisfied with one pickup on a stingray, if i can get my sound with a bass that's all i need.
 22. Both now on Ebay, will withdraw if anyone here wants them.
