Are you clairvoyant? ;-)
Edit, just realised you may be talking about a sig that I can't see

Yip, its in my signiature, plus I have been known to dabble in the dark arts now and again
The fact is, if you are making noise that is annoying someone else , its noise pollution. No matter what time it is, if you have a genuine complaint, then the cops will act. If you say oh but there telly is annoying me then its down to tit for tat and the cops would most likely leave you both to it with a warning to keep it down. If it kept on, I suppose they would take your noise making devices away from you
f*** mate take it, its a genuine piece of vintage history and a genuine Gibson from that age would do more than be a one trick pony. I would love an original Gibson especially an old one. Snap it up man!
I used to live in a flat. If you live in a flat, you have to expect a bit of noise, although, if it becomes too much, you can complain. I am lucky, I now live in a detached house. If you want to not hear the neighbours, buy a detached house end of. I'm sorry, but anything else constitutes noise pollution and is readily complained about. If you have a detached house and get complaints, then you really are being a sh*tty neighbour!
I used to like them. I mean "QUO" is a great album, as is a lot of their earlier material but "in the army now"? C'mon? Their later material is just dirge in my opinion anyway
Huge respect for Andy Fraser. His playing on All right now was amazing. Try to hit the high notes and have the A still going . Mr Big total class solo . What a legend!

Thanks.
The school in question has just become a performing arts academy and has had a massive amount of investment so I think they were planning to buy new instruments in for the students and so were selling these older instruments.

Result all round then!

I'm fairly sure we have departed from the original post here chaps.
It was a simple request for advice on where to find some good theory information.

Which was given, then we digressed
My my, I have opened a can of worms here. Fair enough , you all think its better to learn theory. If the OP wants that, take it away. Im just saying the way I learnt was to play along with records. Didnt do me any harm. I have since taken theory on board. You say tomaetoes, I say Tomatoes. The guy said he was a complete beginner. If that was me and I was doing scales all the time, I would be cheesed off in no time. I would want to get stuck in to my favourite songs, but we are all different
Forget scales mate. If you are just starting, as was said before, just listen to your favourite songs and slide around till you find the notes. Keep repeating as you learn more and more of the song. Scales are too much to comprehend if you are just starting
