I've also got the CD version of the bass trainer. It's a great practise aid and as perry says CDRs are so cheap, I just burn whatever I want to learn onto one. The big downside of the CD version though is that it eats batteries. I only get about 3 hours playing time out of a set of high capacity re-chargables and having to constantly take the batteries out and re-charge them is a real pain.
I have the CD version and its great, Regarding the batteries get yourself a power supply for about a tenner. One of those multi ended ones should work and you will save hassle in the long run. Steve

One things for sure and thats that we won't all agree on a venue or a date so I think Ped should just book something and then worry about who can make it. I remember the thread on the South East bash that seemed to go on for about 6 months until everyone had agreed where and when :-) Just my opinion. Get it booked!! Steve
HI Jamie, There is a bash being planned with Mike @ Bassdirect somewhere around Leamington Spa at the moment. I have however just asked for the contact details for the usual Northampton venue because it seemed a hit with everyone, so I will book it in due course for around March/April time to give everyone plenty of notice.... Does that sound OK with everyone? Cheers ped
Great News. I have only made the first ever one but will do my best to get to this one. March/April in Northampton is fine with me as its tried and tested! Steve
Yes Chris, for all the BC bashing that goes on at Finnbass, they always seem desperate to know what's going on over here, linking to various threads and whatnot, and keeping up with the gossip. I miss some of the old members like Thumper too, they were great contributers. It would be nice if the differences could be resolved.
+1
4 or 8 ohm?
Hi its 4 ohm just like this one http://www.ebs.bass.se/2007/ebs410.htm I will try and get some pics sorted soon. Its in pretty good nick but with a few scuff marks on feet etc as usually happens with cabs. Steve

Lowered price to £320 as thats what it will start at on eBay soon. No offers as its a cracking cab. Had this cab for about 12 months, its in pretty good nick but I am just not using it and its taking up space. £320 collection only from North Birmingham. No trades thanks, I have too much gear!!!
^^ I love you.
Thats the first time anyone has said that to me on an internet message board :-) If a person (lets call him steve) ignores someone (fred) and then someone who hasn't ignored fred then quotes something fred said will steve see it or will it be ignored also? Confusing eh!?!
-
Why would you want to ignore anyone? Even if you can't stand them and disagree with everything they say, surely threads stop making sense when there are huge gaps in them? Its people like that who have given bass players the rep of meek, non-confrontational, sheepish losers. Actually, I doubt anyone will read this. Oh well.
I read it and haven't blocked you ;-)

My best was to start a song thumping away on the open E only to find out I had left the D Tuner down in the D position from the previous song. After thinking someones out of key for about 30 seconds I realised and flicked it back up :-) Steve
Once you've played a Status, you'll wonder how any bass could possibly be easier to play This is a bit OT anyway, because I must be honest, I've never played a Sadowsky, I'm just very pleased with what I've got
Fair Enough, each to their own :-) Hopefully there will be another bass bash soon and we can compare!! Steve
In that its a Jazz bass which would run rings around any Sadowsky playability wise,
I have never played a Status but isn't that a bit of a bold statement to make? Maybe they are that good? Steve
And is it just me or do the screw holes for the bridge cover look very poorly done? I know Fender's QC is iffy, but that looks like my hamster did it with a Black and Decker Chris
Hey Chris, I didnt realise that you and Hamster were so close :-) Steve
