1.
Big lover of this pedal, really versatile, for the first few months I set everything flat and just adjusted the bias knob between Lo-fi dirt and fatness, this and the Tafm cured my GAS (hopefully) for a long time, always getting great comments about my tone from sound men!
its comments like that that make my bank balance scared!
2. yeh what lozz said, and also just to add it puts out a 1000w at both 8 and 4, also that thing is a beast of an amp! loved mine! Andy
3. after playing it this weekend the dod bifet booster is a great light od, but i always seem to go back my Cat tail or Kaeden drive from Fuzzrocious from my drive.
4. it changed again but the Dod and way huge were to good to be left of! still wanna try and get the dod bifet 410 on the board aswell! andy
5.
Yeah I still use my old bi-fet every now and then to add some phatness! Shame about the low end loss though, they need to reissue the FX-25b without the Vol dip. Si
yeh i might try and find one, the low end loss really isnt savage and im guessing as i play in drop c that the loss for me would be more noticeable! andy
6.
Nice to know,i always take the "loss of lows" with a pinch of salt because of style/playing variables .it was from JohnK on talkbass ( pedal builder fanatic)
Yeh also I have to take into account my rig aswell being ashdown it does have more lows than some
7.
Interested what the 440 is like. Wish they'd re-issue the bass envelope filter. The mix control made that filter for me, but the volume drop made it unuseable live Si
so theres a bit of low end loss in the 440, but its really not that bad, the filter tho is great i have it before the Feed me so its getting a low end bump from that, but im actually thinking of putting the bifet after it to boost the lows a bit more, that bifet is a really cool take on a boost! the tone has a bit throw so can really help shape the sound. and the phasor does what phasers do and does it well! really happy Andy
8. Ok so im not really sure where the low end loss thing comes from, yes compared to the swollen pickle there are less lows but there are still more than enough! demo will be coming so people can make up there mind Andy
9. ill report back tomorrow andy
10.
Work in progress... Just got the Cioks DC5 mounted under a Pedaltrain Metro 24. I have a Pedaltrain PB1 wedge shaped pedal riser incoming to go under the expression pedal to reduce foot strain in the heel down position, then have to connect everything up! Bass will go straight into the Octabvre followed by the Manta - I want the expression pedal at the end with the Manta next to it, so this should work quite nicely. The Thumpinator and Diamond both alter the tone of the Octabvre if placed before it, so they are placed later in the chain.
nice man very nice. Andy
11. So im having quiet the splurge atm! grabbed one of these and actually didnt realise they had started doing them in black! cant wait to try it tomorrow at practice!
12. Need this go due to recent purchases price drop to 90 quid
13.
I want/need the COG pedal too. But I want the T-70!!! Go big or go home!
do it!
I don't see the point in these massive octavers... There's not enough tonal variation in my T16 for me to want two presets out of it, I'd much rather have 2 smaller and very different sounding octaves on board. The FX loop could be handy but it tracks surprisingly well after other pedals - funnily enough the Diabolik sends the tracking all over the place but it is rock solid placed after a Prunes & Custard! I have a special one-off gig coming up where I think everyone will be running direct to the PA and am just trying to work out what's going on the board... So far it's looking like: Polytune Mini -> Octabvre Mini -> Source Audio Manta with hub and Dunlop DVP4 expression pedal -> Corona Mini chorus -> Tone Hammer DI 90% of the time it will be just a P with flats into the Tone Hammer with a bit of overdrive courtesy of the AGS circuit. Then a dash of chorus used in the chorus of one song... and then octave synth / filter used for one track. Currently trying to decide if the Diamond Compressor I just picked up is going on, but I think I prefer the way the Tone Hammer AGS circuit responds to my P plugged in direct; I could try the comp at the end but then I would need another DI!
thing is with the loop, and octave up there are alot of sounds! makes me find ways to get them into tracks as they are so cool. andy
14. always been keen to try some of these bs/ss pedals andy
15. well they arrived today ! will be able to try them at the weekend! cant wait! andy
16.
If it's anything like as good as the T47 I've been demoing (and I suspect it is) then it's a killer! I'm sold on the T47 - I don't need the all-singing all-dancing T70 (I almost don't want to watch your demo in case it convinces me that I do!). The filter control totally makes it for me - anything from a nice clean octave to synthy madness. I've spent the last few days annoying the neighbours with it and I think my trusty old OC-2s are going to have to go into retirement. Just finalising the custom artwork with Tom and mine will be on its way!
that filter is what makes it for me aswell! the loop on the T70 is so cool!
17. T70 demo Is now live on my channel http://youtu.be/P7M1APXXU2E
18. As per the title i just ordered a dod phasor, envelope and bi fet boost. i love the sound of my meatbox and dod has always interested me so with the lowish price couldnt resist, and at the very worst gives me some more demos for my youtube channel!
19. Soooooo.......the wait starts again got another custom on the way from ryan! heliotropic with a clean blend and a separate dirty octave up. Andy
20. Damn that free candy is a nice pedal! Demo coming soon but it's really thick and filthy! And using my cog t70 which an octave it's just brutal!
21. Back to the top again, still interested in trades Andy
22. I use a gig rig supply, very quiet and can be quickly changed to suit new pedals etc. However I'm super tempted to grab one of the strymon psu's for a new board I'm putting together.
23. My demo for the T70 goes live on the 24th https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2nph-mPlvZFfBPyj1ADc3Q in other news im putting the Redwitch Zeus back on the board to go in the loop of my T70, so in total ill have 5 octaves on the board..........opps!
