1. come on guys! i can honestly say that every english festival ive been to ive had an awesome time! there is nothing like camping out the whole weekend! be it rain or shine! you cant help the rain! at reading a few years back it was so hot that the ground was so hard you couldnt get pegs in and there where people complaining! yeh it expensive but how much would seeing all of those bands cost you? and Tenacious D are awesome live! if you dnt like them thats different but i bet there was a whole crowd singing along no? andy
2.
Yep, I'm 48, I'm not staying in a sodding camp with the 18 y/o's! And as for the weather, it was appalling on Friday (leaving the festival arena as a mudbath) but had no impact on the travel
was only kidding man! its also in a bad place to get to! leeds festival is really bad to get in theres one way in and out!!!! a bit of traffic is to be expected man! its annoying at the time but an extra 100,000 people around traffic unavoidable dude
3. id be up for coming and spending a bit of a day up there, not sure how long these bashes are? wouldnt want to drive that far for like 2 hrs! andy
4. wait a min! you stayed in a hotel!! give some fairness man the weather was a bit of a factor as well!
5. up for any trades now, mainly tho would still prefer a markbass or barefaced cab! can't really move on the price as 650 is really cheap as this is alot of cab for your money!!!! its really not as bad to move around as you would think, and i used to take my whole rig around in the back of a ford fiesta! 610 cab, head, bass and pedal board! andy
6. Mmmmm i really want to try a dubster! but there is no one near me! and the distance at this moment is helping to stop the gas!
7.
Yeah I have high hopes for the Rocker. Regarding the Tube, what's up with that Balanced Input, what's the point of that?
i think its there for upright basses as on my lm tube you can give it phantom power. but i plugged into it just to see and its just another standard input i think? andy
8.
By 15 watts I mean a 15 watt guitar amp was enough to keep up with my drummer, on 6-8. I was using a 25 watt bass amp pretty much cranked to keep up with the drummer/line 6 15 watt amp.
a good 100/150w combo will be fine! i mean this is now gone but im sure something like this will pop up again soon http://basschat.co.uk/topic/177989-behringer-bxl3000a-combo-for-sale-l50/ people bash there amps but honestly they are a good starting point! andy
9. yeh peavys a good place to start! keep an eye on the classifieds theres are some serious bargins on there from time to time! andy
10. might be up for trading fo a couple of barefaced compacts aswell? andy
11. tbh i cant think of anything if the paints cracked? doubt it will get any worse unless you hit it with a drill again? i'd just leave it and call it character. andy
12. no one near plymouth with some barefaced cabinets? andy
13.
Have you ever tried a Markbass head through an Ampeg cab? ... My god!
[sharedmedia=core:attachments:109975] :-) sounds wicked shame it doesnt fit in my house! due to having skinny stairs! andy
14. well its a bit far to be honest. just wondering if there was a meeting in the works andy
15. I wouldnt mind giving it a try? Pm me Really wanna try out a barefaced with out driving halfway across the country :-( Struggling to get any intrest in my 610 sadly tho! Andy
16. well my new band is doing a few ska style songs and tuned down punk material, so i want punchy deep lows. andy
17. well im leaning more towards heavy bass now, nice deep and clear. changing my effects to all be on the bottom end like reverbs and delays and my swollen set as low as the tone will go etc. also doing alot of tuned down stuff so need a cab that can handle it and still be load! so thats why im thinking dubster or the 15, ive got a tweeter on my 610 and never have it on. andy
18.
Nothing's wrong with LS2 just want to know if options exist. I was hoping for something a lot cheaper too!!
can norm pick the ls-2's up for about 40 quid second hand, which is pretty good for what they do. andy
19. sunday nov 18th is now confirmed venue TBA, between 12-4 andy
20. i think its max at sfx makes a really good line selector, i think its an ls-2 but with a few more features! although whats wrong with the ls-2? also i got a lehle line selector of ebay! really nice clean switcher but not level controls like the boss and sfx units. sheps had both so hes a good guy to ask, hes pantherairsoft on here. andy
21. yeh i think ill have to give that a go! andy
22.
Bad ain't it... Lol. Sounds banging though! This track is a killer... And my tap dancing skills are second to none for this one! Shep
indeed! and ill bet they are!
