1. Edited to reflect that I will now deliver for petrol costs... Go on you know you want to
2. Yep, ditto here, Kevin sent me a couple of DVDs gratis, using first class post! Karma mate
3. Sadly I have to let my big stack go... Peavey 115BX, Hartke 215VX and Peavey Firebass 700 head! Loads of flexibility with the Firebass head (a hugely underrated piece of kit) and with those three 15s it moves more air than a Jumbo Jet and looks great too! The head has three-band active EQ with shiftable mid-range control, a contour control and a bright switch, a buffered tuner send jack, a transformer balanced XLR line out with its own level control, pre-post EQ switch, and a ground lift switch. The XLR output is before the master volume control, so you can adjust your stage volume without affecting the send to the main sound system. There is also a -10 dB input pad switch (active/passive), footswitchable post-EQ effects loop, adjustable active crossover controls for both frequency and balance, preamp output/power amp input patch points, and a DDT compression enable/defeat switch. 700 watts @ 2Ω, 475 watts @ 4Ω, 275 watts @ 8Ω. Full specs online here, although I still have the original paper manual! The VX215 has paper cones in its two 15" drivers plus a high frequency transducer horn, and is rated 500 Watts @ 4Ω. Full specs here. The BX115 has a single 15" driver which I suspect may not be the original Scorpion but a replacement (possibly Eminence?) but I have been running it assuming the original 400 Watts @ 4Ω with no issues. Original specs here. All elements in exellent condition except one plastic corner on the VX is broken. I will also include a small dolly which I custom built to move it about on. Collection from Northolt, W London or can deliver for petrol costs within a reasonable distance - looking for a measly £320. Would prefer not to split but will consider offers for individual components if it doesn't go as a set.
4. I have a fairly tatty but fully functional 4U rack bag which I no longer need - Ideally I would like to swap this for some decent length (5-10m) XLR-XLR and/or XLR-Jack cables. Can deliver for exchange anywhere within motorbike range of central or W London. Anyone?
5. PM'd re Classic Vintage and Veteran Motorcycles vols 1 @ 2
6. How do you change your password? I went to my settings but can't find anything in there...?
7. Have you considered trading for a mars bar?
8. I used to have one of these, lovely sound, no-one should be worried about that ebonol board, it's great! Super bass for the money. Have a free bump
9. Just bought a Mini Q-tron from Steve, great condition, great price and a real Mr Kipling packing job "exceedingly well wrapped!" Excellent chap, very happy to recommend!
10. I believe I owe you a bump! And very well deserved... bargain, why hasn't this gone?
11. Mmm time for a bump... Or should that be a single stroke roll?
12. Hi chaps, time to move on this excellent little digital drumkit, bought from SMV 6 months ago (original thread and pics here) as I need more space and am now using my regular kit more! In pristine condition, with original box, psu, 2 pedals, sticks, and also a proper snare stand (which slots into the unit) which is not part of the standard package over the counter! Loads of different kit sounds, plus you can even play it by hand as a set of congas It's a self-contained unit with speakers, but of course you can plug it into another system for better sound reproduction, and also use it as a midi controller if you have other synth kits, VSTs etc . Very useful for playing in patterns rather than having to put them together on little keys on drum sequencers! Ideally collection from NW London (Northolt, UB5) but could be brought into London for collection near Euston .
13.
They are. I've bought 2 S's in the last 3 weeks, a 5 string and a six string.
Now that's just greedy
14. Just bought a t-bone off Pete, no problems, excellent comms, good price and in vg nick. Cheers mate!
15. STILL not gone? Holy moley... These are brilliant basses for the money - and those Amberburst ones are even nicer looking than my old cherry burst! Have a Feel-the-Spector-Love bump
16.
The mic stand mounted drink sholder is a must for me
Is that the one you cry on when you've had one too many? Comic typos aside, for me it's Venom cables - never ever had one fail! - and the fretless custom Stingray I got from Phil Mann. Luvverly! If only it had 5 strings....!
17. God you guys are quick! What nothing better to do on a bank holiday Monday? (like me, obviously! ) Cheers chaps, I shall start looking!
18. Hi, The daughter of a singer/songwriter I play with has expressed an interest in trying to take up bass. She's 11 (the daughter that is!) and quite small, and although she's had a go on mine it's way too big for her (35" scale). Her mum has asked me to look out for something cheap but reasonable for her to try learning on - but this is a bit outside my usual area of expertise! Can anyone recommend (or even better have for sale or donation) what might be a suitable instrument? I guess I was thinking some cheap ultra-short-scale - or can you get 3/4 size basses (NOT DOUBLE BASSES before anyone gets going! ) and would they be any good? All help greatly appreciated by both me and, hopefully in due course, Georgia
19.
