Not much to add really... Yes, the MM stand was by far the best, plenty of stations with headphones to try what you like and actually HEAR it... Would still have been true even if it hadn't had the benefit of being away from the main exhibitor's hall, which was just a wall of noise. I went to listen to Phil Mann soloing on the Institute stand, and could barely distinguish a note standing 5 ft in front of him. Bring back the DB police!!!
And TM Stevens was b****y marvellous - and such a nice guy! Really inspiring and a brilliant class, and took a HUGE amount of time out with aspiring kids after the session, chatting, encouraging, taking pics... Well done that man
Suprised no-one's mentioned Gary Willis so far - played a really good set (and answered some interesting questions) in the main auditorium on Saturday. Shame I won't also be there for his class today.
