1. Guys Chris contacted me immediately after I PM'd him to say it was already gone I guess he just forgot to close off the thread!
2. Tightest gig I ever played was after just one rehearsal, because I was RELAXED. I'm sure you'll have a great time! And just remember - if you lose it, just improvise I had to do Chameleon (Hancock) at the weekend after one 5 minute rehersal - wasn't engrained enough, sowhen I started to lose it I just worked around it instead and it turned into a cracking version! And you'll be dead comfy with your new strap on
3. Colin bought my XL Comfort Strapp, lovely chap, great comms, wouldn't hesitate to deal with again.
4. Bought a Vbass from Shaggy - very pleasant transaction with a fellow biker! Super, very honest and helpful chap.
5. Paul bought my Zoom mulit effects pedal, very pleasant and straightforward transaction, good comms, and he came to collect for cash Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again!
6. Clearing out, so my XL Comfort Strapp (42"-54") is up for sale - very little used as it transpires I really should have bought an L for my preferred playing position, so just kept it as a spare! The strap itself is pristine, but the end tabs have had 3 of the 4 holes enlarged to take Straplocks properly - of course this may be a plus for some! These are £30 +£4 postage at the Bass Gallery, so how about £20 + £4 post? Collection from Northolt or can deliver by motorbike anywhere near there or close to the A40 up to Euston (UCL) .
7. Sold my Echo Park pedal to Tom, smooth and friendly transaction, regular communication and paid exactly as promised! Recommended.
8. Having a clearout so my old Zoom 607 has to go - this was my first multieffects pedal and did a great job for me until I could afford to blow out on something better! To give you an idea of what it can do, here's the summary from the Zzounds site: Expanding on their popular 506II effects pedal, Zoom adds more effects, more patches, drive, modeling, and a built-in assignable Expression pedal. Top that off with 35 effects types (9 simultaneously), 42 patch locations, a specific Drive knob selecting 11 Drive Types (including 5 modeling effects and 3 types of Amp Simulation), Up/Down Gain buttons, and an Expression Pedal assign button complete with LED status. Other features include a built-in tuner, Zoom Noise Reduction, a 2-digit 7-segment LED display, and will run on 4 "AA" batteries or an optional AC adapter. The 607 is a sophisticated multi-effect processor for bass guitar with the following great features. Outstanding performance The 607 provides a palette of 35 built-in high-quality effects, including a wide variation of distortion settings and flexible modulation effects. Up to nine effects can be used simultaneously. In terms of performance and features, the 607 far surpasses everything in its class. Built-in expression pedal The integrated pedal makes it easy to adjust effect depth or volume during play. Use it to adjust gain, get a gutsy pitch bend, or perform many other advanced functions. Smooth operation feel The intuitive operation of the unit is derived from the highly popular ZOOM 506 II. Dedicated selectors for the most important distortion effects make the 607 a snap to use. Controlling distortion type and intensity during a performance is smooth and easy. Built-in auto-chromatic tuner The integrated auto-chromatic tuning function is tailored to the needs of the bass guitarist and can be used on stage. Dual power supply enables operation anywhere The dual power supply allows the unit to be powered either from an AC adapter or from four IEC R6 (size AA) batteries. Continuous operation time on batteries is 7 hours with manganese batteries and 24 hours with alkaline batteries. The original manual is included with the unit, as is its original (but now rather tatty) box; an external PSU is NOT included (but can easily bought cheaply if needed). If you want to preview what it's capable of doing in more detail you can see the manual online here. This is a great "starter" unit for the impecunious and/or the beginner/intermediate looking to start experimenting. Just £35 posted, £30 collected or delivered by motorcycle anywhere not too far from Northolt (UB5), Euston (UCL) or anywhere en route between the two
9. Having upgraded to a Zoom R16 and Q3HD, my Micro BR is up for sale to finance other acquisitions This has only ever had light use as a recorder for a few gigs and rehearsals - but it's a brilliant little unit, with loads of functionality I simply never used. If you're not familiar with it, there are full specs etc on the Roland site at http://www.roland.co...18#.UA7OmqD-3C1 but to give you a quick idea (he says, shamelessly cutting and pasting ): MICRO BR: Digital Recorder The World's Smallest Pro Studio Meet the ultimate palmtop guitar companion and recording studio. 12. Cheers mate Why not! My living room is always open to you!
13. I have been greatly remiss in forgetting (till now) to post regarding Tom's sale of a trombone to me. Not only did he sell it at a knock-down price, he delivered it to my house personally, gave me some startup tuition, and also brought a carload (literally!) of other instruments for myself and my offspring to spend the evening trying out! It's actually quite hard to put down what a special kind of chap he is without seeming OTT... but put simply, Tom is one of the nicest and most genuine people you could possibly deal with on Basschat, and given the splendid quality of so many on here, this is rightly the highest of praise! You can have absolutely 100% confidence in any interaction you have with him. Cheers mate, the world would be a better place if there were more people like you!
14. Just bought an Ibanez acoustic from Lewis - in need of a setup but a very friendly and straightforward transaction at a fair price. Go Cheetahs! (in joke, please ignore unless you have Watford Cheetahs connections )
