Instruments are personal. The way they feel, look sound etc. If I'm spending a significant amount would always want to try first. I've tried a few basses over the years expecting them to be 'the one's but they never turned out to be what I needed/ wanted.....and vice versa.

Makes a nice change to 'normal' effects. Don't know whether to get the soleman or can you link to a Helix Stomp for patch access??

I had the PINK sidewinder as one of first basses back around 1990. Bloody awful.

So I'm sure there;s a simple answer out there.. I have an effects chain starting with a compressor to boss OC2 then into various overdirive, envelopes, chorus etc.... I would like to keep the OC2 as clean as possible in the final output without it going through all the other effects. Whats the easiest way to do this, ie: boss LS2?, Loop switches Any advise / experience appreciated Ta

Recently fancied a change from my Dingwall Z3 for something different......so added a Chowny SWB to the collection. (NB, added, not replaced) So Lost 7" in scale, 1 string and a bunch of electronics at a tenth of the price. Good fun, but could never replace the Z3

Agree.... had my 3band stingray in my collection for a few years, great sound....but only ONE great sound. Great for slap, but had more versatile basses for other styles.

back in the day.,...loved my Mo-bass and goliaths, just got to much hassle to cart it around.... Had a load of issues with the latter purchases around 2009/10. Speakers falling apart, horns blowing......shame, I guess I would say I was brand loyalist in the early 00's.

Saw George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic in Nottingham last week. The guy is pushing 80 and been in the game for 60+ years... It should be one the funkiest and grooviest gigs for the bass player & drummer.....but they both looked bored as billy-o https://www.facebook.com/georgeclintonpfunk/videos/10155502769012611/

I've played the Dingers for 6 years or so.....no problem with adjusting to fanned frets. Had an afterburner for a few years and now a Z3 - awesome basses!

...Ok so its not my music, but added an alternative bass to Sia's Chandelier (Best with speakers or Headphones)

Just watching one of Scott Devine's videos where he likens basses to cars. So heres my list for starters Fender= Ford. ..they're everywhere Warwick = Volkswagen.....solid german engineering Dingwall = Lamborghini....well engineered but not very forgiving Alembic = bugatti.....how much! Hofner violin bass = Mini cooper....small classic Ritter = zonda.....sounds good but that shape! Fodera = mercedes....stylish with all the knobs Any more....

Latest incarnation. Recent realised i had 2 or 3 of every type of noise box over 2 boards. Other than the 2 loopers, 1 decent pedal per noise.....thankyou.
