2. Hi All Putting my Dingwall Afterburner 1, 5 string bass up for sale. No trades on this one. Just over 2 years old and in excellent condition. Purple burst finish still looks stunning! 3 piece maple neck with Wenge fingerboard, 34-37" fanned frets, takes just minutes to get used to. These basses have so much clarity and balance for a passive instrument - one of the best and loudest passive basses you can play (in my opinion!). Combined with its light weight (8lb 5oz!) its a joy to play. Complete with hipshot detuner. Comes with standard Dingwall bag. Free postage in the UK Any questions...let me know (trouble loading photo's direct, follow the link below) https://www.flickr.c...8837@N06/4xtYj9 Steve

The neck has a traditional upright shape, but with extended access to the upper register of the fingerboard. EBONY FINGERBOARD: The seasoned ebony fingerboard is hand graduated to insure that each note is even and buzz free. An adjustable truss rod allows for precise relief adjustment for different strings and playing style. Small dots across the neck provide accurate position markers. POLAR BRIDGE PICKUP SYSTEM: The Polar pickups can sense either lateral or vertical string vibration - or both! Set in the lateral mode, the pickup has unparalleled sensitivity in the direction of the bow. In the vertical mode, plucked notes are remarkably even and sustained. EMG MAGNETIC PICKUPS: The low-impedance EMG pickups incorporate individually adjustable coils and neodymium magnets. Each coil is buffered separately for a full sound quality with very low noise. ACTIVE EQ AND MIXER: Controls include volume, a blend control for magnetic and piezo pickups, a toggle switch to select the mode of the Polar pickup, and individual bass EQ & treble EQ controls. The 18 volt power supply insures plenty of reserve overhead for full dynamics. ADJUSTABLE BRIDGE: Two screws in the back of the body are used to adjust the bridge up and down. This allows the instrument to be set up to meet the requirements of many different playing styles. Thanks for looking.
  7. If they helps you get your creativity out in a way that is tasteful and pleasing to the ears, then yes use them.
  8. I use a looper, mainly at home for practicing timings and getting some chord progression or melody ideas that help playing live. I used to find bass quite 'difficult' to practice alone so my looper proved a good friend. You can struggle to find a start, middle and end with them with but with other effects you can create some interesting textures. Its all about getting your ideas out there and looping is one way of doing that.

Left speaker was changed years ago and all in good working order The cab has been in regular use at small gigs or as an extension to my old 4x10, but alas, he's no longer needed. Good condition considering its use had the cover until it finally fell apart recently. Based in Derby, collection only. Looking for £125.
  13.
I don't even know why I have the phobia, I've had it all my life! It's just being inside one that sets me off... sweating, nausea, and anxiety, followed by vomiting and sometimes fainting if I don't leave right away. Come to think of it, the same thing happened when I did a school nativity play! Maybe it means I'm the antichrist??
sounds more cleansing than a phobia!
