1. Oh lordy, that pickguard and colour combo is one of my all time faves, I wish I had one of the above basses to trade! Good luck on your quest anyway, that's truly a beautiful bass!
 2. What's the story behind this then?
 3.
hope it doesn't get nicked...
It's all insured buddy, I'm not daft
Nice set up! I really wish that my set up at uni was more formidable, but I just don't have the space!
Yeah, our halls are pretty old and don't have en-suites etc so the rooms are a lot bigger than the more modern ones. Pretty cheap too.
 4.
Why not use pro tools 9?
I've no idea, i'm not too up to date on the software front, however it was hard enough getting hold of a copy of pro tools HD
 5. When my bursary comes in, in just over a month, i'll have this, if it's still here... But don't hold your breath!
 6.
What hardware are you running that through?
*ahem*... it's a slightly not-so-legal copy of pro tools, as i can't really afford it, it came with a hardware emulator called XVX, which basically allows you to use pro tools with any sound card you like, so i'm using my lexicon lambda.
 7.
Pro Tools HD?
Yep...

 9.
Cheers Pete After researching some colours I thought it was butter creme, but when I gave the serial number to the boffins on the EB forums I was told it was white! I'd love to get a white pearl scratch plate for it, but I'm having some trouble finding a template for the newer style pickups.
Yep, that's white, buttercreme is darker and was a limited edition and as such came with the limited hardcase and inscription on the back, just below the neckplate. I think they all had painted headstocks too.
 10.
I thought I would let you all see my 2004 Limited Edition Bongo 5 HS in Envy Green. Wouldn't change it for anything really!! Colin
That's a beauty! I'd love to own a bongo one day, it's not high on my list of priorities though.
 11. Aye, i found the sound i wanted in a warwick corvette $$, however the shinyness of a stingray HH lured me away, briefly, i'm back with a warwick $$ and haven't had any GAS since And this was almost a year ago now. Before that, I would have had a new bass every 3 months or so.
 12.
Ive always wanted a SUB and glad i looked through the 10 pages to find this Definitley changing the guard on this haha! I saw the graphite body in a shop when i first started bass as a kid and remember drooling over the bass! Hopefully he gets back to me soon shall have to send a PM! Think ive already made a decision, hopefully still for sale!
Graphite body?!
 13.
I was in there yesterday on a trip up to London.. Staff completely dis-interested, some poor noob with his parents trying to decide what rig to get for his yet to be formed function band and no-one trying to help.. very very poor... Mark
Yeah, i'm fairly sure the PA centre is owned by the same lot as the bass cellar etc
 14. ok, no worries. If i can get the cash, i'll let you know, but i'm a bit skint as well!
 15.
If it's the same one it was in that shop a couple of years ago, I called up about it when on the hunt for one. IIRC it's a 5 string and despite it being there for at least a year when I called, they wouldn't budge on their price of about £2k
Yeah, some of the prices on their gear is a tad, shall we say, optimistic... I don't think they shift too much gear though.
 16. Ohhhhh i want i want i want, would you be interested on a trade with a line 6 spider III 30w combo or a p/ex with a 112 ashdown valve combo? cheers
 17. Just sold a bass to Dave, he was a true gent to deal with and very patient, I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again. Many thanks Sam
 18. I can contribute to this thread by saying, one of the local music shops in nottingham had/has a Bolin... however, I never played it.... That is all!
 19. Depressingly enough, I can't think of a single musical achievement that I'm actually proud of...
 20. That is a thing of beauty! The bridge still looks a little out of place, but there's not much you can do about that i suppose.
 21. Selling a line 6 spider III 30W guitar amp. No problems, pretty much mint cosmetically, selling because i'm upgrading. Fairly standard beginner/intermediate amp, has a wide range of sounds, so pretty much perfect for bedroom practice. I don't have any photos of the amp at present, but if you want some, i can get them. Looking for £65, picked up from bangor, north wales, or from nottingham over christmas. I'd rather not post, due to the bulkiness of the item. Cheers

 23. I think the point is that they're amazing basses, for the money. I'd never call a squier VMJ an amazing bass, but for the money, you're really hard pushed to find a bass that is better built, better looking, better sounding, better feeling etc. The higher end Fenders are very subjective in that way, and I'm not too fond of them.
 24. Sorry guys, only looking for cash to go towards a new g****r amp, though i would entertain a part exchange for a Sansamp BDDI or similar.
