  1. Main problem is playing to punters 5 foot in front of you with various trip hazards while they pogo or headbang
  2. Pubs are called "locals because they are at the end of streets usually.Drink driving still goes on but 90% of a busy bar are walking or taxi home
  3. As it says in the blog, not of use to everyone but a lot of kit isn't.Lets face it you can play all your life with a bass and amp so everything out there from that could be questioned i have a tonebone and love it
  4. Pub cover band level i think its always been the same, there's a big bunch doing the rounds who are okay and get repeats but they have no wow factor or imagination regards stuff and look pretty dull.Anyone making a bit more effort, playing wise or lights or backdrop or material etc tend to stick out and get a bit of a reputation .Then there's the top tier who have it all and have a very healthy following for a reason. Most of us can watch a band and without being bitchy spot something they could do better very easily but they don't bother or are oblivious
  5. See the "well known " bit has missed a bit on this thread
  6. Great album and the type of thing i did as a young Stranglers fan, tend to just pick the licks up on TOOL stuff and jam them at soundcheck these days
  7. Its like drumming on a bass, two things going on the simple version sounds more convincing,i think its the pressure of opening the song with it as well ,ha!
  8. Agree,by John Paul jones's admission he never repeats himself so on Zep stuff i just role around the neck on the fills and get it on the important bits
  9. Start of Sweet Emotion,i got it spot on then leave it a week and revert back to the wrong way .The correct way sounds almost wrong
  10. The whole dying for my art thing can only last so long ,it's false anyway all that posturing .Not a fan of Oasis but they blow your empty venue theory out of the water
  11. Like Oasis for example
  12. Thanks I got it with a bit of a plan Wanted a Jpj look ,Cape arrives soon I have a nice neck for it and pick ups if needed but happy to see how it goes
  13. Hi Had a quick look to see if this has been covered Just picked up a nice 3tsb one tonight .Expected it to be a bit lacking in the sound department but it's really quite loud doing volume comparisons in the house Anyone any idea what they're like at gig volume ?does the loudness just go muddy and toneless or is it decent .Impressed with how it plays
  14. On that logic best stand behind the drummer
  15. Yep ,exactly that .
  16. Could've been worse,could've been Sweet emotion
  17. Award show for Pop acts.I'm not 15 so i didn't watch it .If i did i might have moaned like an old person does

  19. They were popular and made music lots of people liked ,def Pop!
  20. Just always looks like someones whizzed on his chips and his banter backs it up
  21. Yep,a world of cold hard perfectness. He's a name there is no doubt but very little of his stuff interests me and he never has that welcoming look on his face
  22. Just read the title,i'm not even a Beatles fan but the majority of top grade musicians are sheep who are good at doing what creative people tell them to do
  23. Now done to £184 ! still £370 on Thoman etc ,bargain
