  1. Good on you, although I once turned down a covers band because they played Mr. Blue Sky. It's one of those songs to me that sets my teeth on edge.
  2. I have been working with @stevieand @Phil Starralthough they did all the heavy lifting. We did discuss a 2nd cabinet to add to the BC112, The idea was that the second cab would not have a tweeter but would have a low pass filter that removes the upper mids and high frequencies. The idea of the LPF is that with two drivers, there are interference frequencies that introduce peaks and troughs in the response. These are not huge, and perhaps we were being picky. We never proceeded, as none of us really found the need. The 1x12 goes incredibly loud, I have never felt the need for the extra output an extra driver would give. Of course, you may need the extra oomph.
  3. That is MAX or peak so probably 122dB real workld but two of those will pack a punch. Should keep up with two tops easily.
  4. I might bring Ms Chien with me, she can cook a bit (well a lot, and she is very good at it) do the scrumpettes need a hand and shall I chain her to the kitchen? Oh, and how much for a Tee? Sadly, inflation means I need a 2XL now.
  5. Now, if that was a Tokai Hard Puncher P Bass I would be swooning.
  6. I did it last week, soldering iron fell, I caught it,,,,,,wrong end.
  7. I did a course on the Unix based OS Solaris some years ago, and the building blocks often followed different conventions. The tutor said that they were written in Southern California in the 60s and the difference between the modules? Different drugs. Seriously, those are superb designs, and I mean the filters as well as the graphics.
  8. you need to put SOLD in the title
  9. Bamboo sheet is quite heavy so unless the cabinet walls are thin then there will be a weight penalty. However it is very hard, so would take hard knocks. it is also expensive compared to ply.
  10. Ah but those are HH watts. The stated output is 80 watts into 8 ohms but a look at the circuit shows that that is a VERY conservative rating. AS HH were supplying the BBC with extremely HiFi amps, I suspect the powers quoted were at extremely low distortion rates I compared my VS100 to an MB200 and guess what, Tne HH was louder (actually the MB 200 is really 100 watts into 8 ohms).
  11. Interesting, I have a Soundcraft UI16 and currently use a 2.4Ghz router with it. It was bought SH from a BC member and came with the TL-WR902AC. For some reason I could never get this to link to the mixer. However I have more experience with it now and might try it again. I have the same fears as you, two other 2.4GHz devices on stage as well as all those mobiles searching for WiFi love. I have not had a dropout live yet, but have experienced it when home testing and have seen a friend have nightmares with an XR18 during performances.
  12. Scroll down on this link to Channel Allocation. Ask the Stage Manager whether he is using the Ofcom Ch38 Channel plan then you 're both talking the same language, https://www.ofcom.org.uk/manage-your-licence/radiocommunication-licences/pmse/pmse-technical-info/mics-monitors/shared
  13. So what did change?
  14. Its also a sustainable wood/material, at least in its natural form.
  15. sorry but I have only just seen this. Let me check and get back to you.
  16. I am sure you are correct but it is my personal preference.
  17. Ah yes I forgot about the slot port.
  18. I had a size issue when I modded my Ashdown After 8. It needed a port but there was no space on the front baffle. The amp was taking up most of the back so I mounted the port on one side. Of course you have to be careful not to put the port next to a wall.
  19. I have been looking around and realised that there is no stock in dealers and no bass category on the TC website.
  20. Might be worth getting a WIFi analyser app. It will tel you whether you are ion the same channel as anyone else close by. I use one to make sure there will not be any conflicts with the digital mixer WiFi. Oddly I used it yesterday to check my home WiFi and found out that many networks locally were on the Dane channel. Windows has WiFi Analyser, iOS had Airport Utility and I think there is an Android one too.
  21. I happen to know that @Phil Starrhas just acquired a pair of RCF 745s, over to Phil...
  22. I would agree with what @agedhorsesays on using genuine Neutrik Speakons. I have not tried them but suspect compatible connectors from both Cliff and Amphenol would also be OK although that is based on the quality of their other connectors.
