  1. Tweeters are as good as the design and if a tweeter sounds bad it could be the design, your technique or both. You only have to read the Markbass threads on here and on the Other Place to realise that just adding a tweeter is not the answer. A level control or switch on a tweetered cab may indicate the designer’s doubt in her/his design or could be a marketing device to counter “tweeter hesitancy”. There is little that a tweeter control/switch can do that a good amp EQ cannot. Ask Barefaced why they have added the tweeter and how it is implemented. If you are happy with the answers, order one and take advantage of their returns policy. My concern would be that the 110 has such a baked in sound that balancing the tweeter would be difficult but, only Barefaced can say what they have done.
  2. It is basically a 500 watt amp with 2 ohm capability. Probably more than enough for most people.
  3. Yes try this first. I agree that the RQ curve is extreme in the image but as you say you did not gig it like that it is probably not the problem. Have you got another c AB you could try? Or another amp with that cab?
  4. Hmm.It is easy to be negative but at least they are thinking about their offerings. The pink sparkly one looks a bit “DaisyRocks”. Zero fret. I had guitars in the 69s with zero frets and they are better than a nut. If you think about it it is obvious. The magnetic electronics cover did not look like a good fit Some nice looking basses though.
  5. Gold and white/cream would not be my first choice of colour scheme but that it gorgeous. Enjoy.
  6. Fuji GeNeral were one of the Japanese factories for Fender back in the day. I have always been tempted but recently they t have only done traditional Jazz basses.
  7. One of @stevieLFSys new 10" cabs. They should be available within a few weeks, and the prototypes sound great. https://www.lfsys.co.uk/bassguitarproducts
  8. When I was a lad, we didn't have speakers..... sorry, wrong thread. Seriously though, when I studied reliability, the bathtub curve explained it. The diagram below show the likelihood of failure and the longer you use it the more likely a failure BUT. The start of the End of Life failures to the peak can be several years and assuming your blown speaker is at that start, you may get several years from the other one. You might find it blows next gig. However, a new driver could fail in its infant mortality phase at the start.
  9. The venous has Bar Stolls so should be oK. The ligament is not a Cruciate but a Fibular collateral ligament. Thanks for all the advice.
  10. I tore a ligament I. My knee at the weekend and have a gig tomorrow night. I will not be able to stand all night so any advice on how to get through the gig?
  11. As for the B1 Four being great value, I have to agree and would not let mine go. Although I have bought one, I also agree that the B2-4 is priced too high. *Sadly, I have strained a ligament in my right knee, not ideal for testing a stomp box of any sort. I have read the aforementioned Guitar review. I probably won't read his reviews again. It reads like he is a frustrated writer rather than a guitarist. In saying that, he does have some valid points. The screen could be better, but let's be honest, the screen does not affect the sound. Secondly, I agree that the arrow key cluster looks like it is difficult to change with your foot *see above, However I would not want to change banks mid-song and try to arrange patches so that the ones I need are in set list order. I will look at the other points later but will say the that B2-4 is a dedicated Bass multi effects unit whereas the Nux, Valeton and even Helix range are not.
  12. They are quite different on first listen. My feeling was that many of Zoom's patches on the B! On and B1 Four were a bit extreme. The B2 Four has patches emulating the sound used on classic recordings and are much better starting points for your own patches.
  13. I am sorry, I don’t know.
  14. Yes there are four controls like B1Four but, but being black, they hardly show up on photos.
  15. My first impressions Re that the stock patches are a lot more usable than previous Zoom pedals I have owned. No wacky patches that scream, I have effects and I have to I use them. Tge oatcged all have song titles that are fairly easy to guess plus a year and those that I know sound fairly true to the original recording. I like the real foot switches tge paddle ones on the B1 ranges are not ideal for big feet and little stages YMMV. I like the fact that an expression pedal. Can be added but to me the best bit is the connectivity. Real DI out and a Zomm have realised that almost no headphones now come with a 1/4” TRS connector. I addition the headphone out it separate from the mono out. I have only had a few minutes playing through it and have not yet had a chance to go through the software and apps, To those that scoff the moulded polymer case, they are build like brick outhouses and nut B1 Four has done well I’ve 200 gigs without a hiccup. The faux carbon fibre finish is about the same as that on my car dashboard. That is not too convincing but if you are looking at that you should be playing.
  16. No, the preamp is not open source, although I might do one that is soon.
  17. It has been work in progress for far too long, but now I have to finish it.🤒
  18. Horrified to see I am not on the list. So I WILL be there, and as to what I am bringing? From, Basses Fender Aerodyne/Sire Marcus Miller M2 Amps Bugera Veyron M1001/Ashdown Retroglide 800 and possibly home build 500 watt bass head based on one of @passinwind's pre-amp designs. Cabs TBC but one of the LFSys designs. Effects Zoom B2-Four, Zoom B1-Four
  19. Rock n Roll?
  20. Where did it come from? What I mean is the component reference i.e. C1-C302 etc.
  21. The GK combos usuallu use 4 OHM dtivers fro memory
  22. Mine was due today but just heard from DHL that it will be the 11th. To think thaty DHL was once tge fastest courier on earth.
  23. I think latency ( more properly called propgation delay) does depend on whet digital paths are selected within a mixer so probably safer to say 2mS. Apart from that and in my experience, about 10-12mS would be OK but then that is as much as I have experienced to date. Adding 12mS to that is probably a daal breaker but I would have to do some tests before making a definitive statement.
  24. In computing this is called the “wet ware”.
