Hi. I may be interested in this. On paper it's what I want, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there as reference. No sound clips, no vids... I suspect that's the only reason this hasn't sold. Is there any chance you could post a video on YouTube so I (everyone) could hear what it sounds like. Cheers.
Hi I dont have the equipment or know how to do a video -- Us old guys cant even send a text message! Its a typical Hofner sound, Think Paul MacCartney, 60s etc and I would say its much more versatile soundwise than the Epiphone Rivoli and Gibson EB2 --More on a par with the Starfire and Hagstrom Viking semi Acoustics ( I have had all of these -- Still have the Hagstrom. ) Anybody interested is more than welcome to come and try it out -- No obligation! Anybody out there got any sound clips? Will. Will.
Hey, for about 5 years now I have still been playing a squire affinity p bass that I got when I firt started playing in a starter pack however I now want to upgrade to something a bit better. I have a budget of between £500-£600 to spend and I think I have narrowed it down to 3 now: The g and l2000 tribute The sterling by musicman ray34 The lakland skyline 44-01 What I was womdering was if any of you had had any experience with these basses and what you think of them but also if there are any other basses in this sort of price range that you would recomend. Thanks for your help in advance Josh
All good basses but different soundwise and feel! Strongly suggest you try them first if possible -- I am sure if you ask nicely any Basschatter local to you that has one would let you try them out! Will.
After several months of loving flats I'm going to be doing some corporate work with a 60s band so fancy having a go with tapewound strings trouble is that they all seem to be huge gauge requiring the nut to be filed to accomodate the strings and floppy. Does a (more-or-less) regular thickness, non-floppy tapewound string exist? I know how they make them so the answer will probably be no but its worth a try.
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=139513

This would have fitted in very nicely :-) Cracking bass and looks very sophisticated:-)
Yes its a lovely Bass -- Extremely lightweight but very well made and suprisingly versatile soundwise + it looks cool too
