1.
Just paste the Photobucket IMG code into your post, works like dream.
Cheers bud, will upload them later on so you can all bask in its bassy goodness
2. Have bought a Fanndec 6 string bass from Matt, other than a slight cock up on the part of the courier, it arrived today in perfect condition. Very prompt with responses and questions, and the bass was so well packed, it could have withstood a tactical strike I'm sure!! Kudos to you Matt, thank you for making my first purchase here as easy as it comes!! Owe you a beer whenever I'm down in your neck of the woods mate
3. Yep, just waiting for my camera to finish charging and then I'll attempt at uploading some. Is the pic uploader on here working, or should I photo bucket and link?
4. She's finally here, and what a beauty she is!! Fanndec 6 String (with a custom shop logo on the rear of the neck) Bought from Matthew (SMV) of this parish, and my first purchase from here. Fair play, it was packed so well, it took me approx 20 minutes to get into it, layers of cardboard, bubble wrap, gig bag, and then wrapped the bass up in bubble wrap too. Pretty sure it could've withstood a tactical nuclear strike!! First impressions.... What a beautiful bass to look at! 7piece walnut/maple neck through, lovely grain patterns on the natural wood. No rough fret ends, have just given it a quick set up and a noodle through my practice rig... It sounds HUGE!!!! haven't had time to play around with all the eq settings yet, but I'm getting a perfectly usable rock tone with all set flat! I know the score here - pics or it didn't happen!! I'm just waiting for my camera to charge, and then I shall upload some So happy with this purchase, and have been bouncing off the walls for a few days due to a cock up with Parcel force not collecting when they should have, but now she's here, it was definitely worth the wait!!! 5.
Very good. But we'll still need to see the dance pics. A video would be better.
Well I'll see what I can do. Instant YouTube comedy gold if anything!!
6. Hahaha I won't scar everyones minds with the image of a fat man dancing, but as soon as it arrives and I've given it a good going over, I shall be posting some pics and a quick review. My first purchase from the site, and the seller has been absolutely top notch ,
7. Well I've managed to secure a Fanndec 6 string from the for sale section on here for £265 inc delivery. Currently awaiting its arrival. So excited I could actually dance haha!!!
8. Oh I can't wait buddy!! Lovely playing in that clip BTW, I just know the bass and I will get on amazingly. Thank you
9. I've owned a couple of Westfield MM copies, along with a P and J copy. Found them in a local cash generator type store for peanuts (think the most I paid for one of the MM copies was around £85, for a 5 string - Black body + scratchplate, maple neck) Seriously good basses once they've been set up properly IMO, punch way above their price level. Still have a P as a modding bass too, comw to think of it!
10. The main band I was in decided to fold on Monday night, they were in our regular practice spot while I was in hospital, which they knew, albeit off my face on gas and air while having my shoulder re-located (short version, came off my mountain bike on a shortcut home from work)... I found out via a facebook post on Tuesday evening. Yet they still want to play one final gig this weekend. Looks like they'll be doing it without me then, I can barely pick up a mug of tea at the moment. Think I'm gonna take some time out to consider my options, not really been feeling it for a while now anyway tbh. Lifes a funny old game eh?!
11. Yep, picked up a Shine p bass copy from a local cash generator type place.. Got it home, gave it a thorough set up and new strings, and by god it sounds amazing through my ashdown rig. Plays better than a lot of Squiers, and a few MIM Fenders I've owned (completely IMO of course, not starting that old nugget again!) Consequently sold a couple of other basses, and now its my only one! Not bad for the grand total of £40!!! (£25 for the bass, £15 for the strings!)
12. We have a long running agreement with the landlord of a local pub/music venue. Vocal PA, drumkit and cabs are supplied (Ashdown mag 4x10 and Marshall 4x12) quite handy as they are almost identical to the cabs we use for gigs anyway. So we just need instruments, amp heads and drummer's breakables. We pay £20 for a 4 hour session, sometimes less if I help run the PA for gigs on the weekends. Plus, as an added bonus its only a 10 minute walk from my house!
13. Could have a look for a s/h Roland Street Cube. I've done a few busking sessions with some friends, my bitsa Pbass sounded ok through it (not a lot of low end, but I like a middy tone anyway)
14.
Has anyone stopped to consider his feelings? I thought it was the fella from wolverine what can't sing in that miserables film. Nice shirt tho...
This. A million times this!!! Well played haha

16. I've recently (well, couple of months ago) joined a band with a couple of old school/college friends. All been in various bands before, but first time all together.. Drummer and Guitarist. Had never met the singer before, until my audition. Still not sure what to make of him tbh, ego beyond words - but he can sing pretty well for our style (hard rock/sleaze) Maybe time will tell?! (fingers crossed)
17. Yeah... thats what I was thinking. Plus, I don't really want to take the risk and possibly damage a cab that isn't mine either. Cheers =)
18. Hi guys n gals, sorry for the noobish question, but would it be safe to use my TE GP7 Head through a 4x8 White Horse guitar cab?? The ohmages match up, but would I be risking blowing a speaker or something? Only asking as my Ashdown mag210 decided to die on me earlier today, and the only other cab I can get hold of for band rehearsal tomorrow is the above guitar cab... Any help/advice would be much appreciated! Mark
19. I think the only difference is early/later series of the Rockbass range.. Not 100% sure which way round it was though (W headstock later series, Rockbass headstock earlier series!) I had a Fortress 5 for a year or two, loved the tone but had a neck like a baseball bat, just too thick in depth for me tbh. Quite well built for a budget range, compared to some Epiphones and lower end Ibanez's I've owned. Hopefully someone better informed than I shall be along shortly!
