1. Westfield B1000 P Bass clone, with bridge 'ash tray', v good nick, sunburst, plays well. Since I bought this I have found two pros who gig these puppies. So, no, its not a Fodera but it plays perfectly well, looks good and will pay for itself in just a few sessions. Beautiful grain in the rosewood fingerboard. Truss rod works OK. Only issues: two little screw holes where the previous owner tried and failed to fit a pup cover, and slight belt rash on the back of the body. Otherwise, very nice condition. Fairly new Fender flatwounds fitted. Cash and pick up from the middle of East Anglia preferred as posting's a faff, but I will pack and send by courier for about £15 if necessary. Please note to make life easier (i.e. so I don't need to find a huge box) I unscrew neck from body. This may make you queasy but it's fine. Comes with a virtually new JSH soft bag, not needed now I bought a hard case. Reason for sale: one in and one out and the one in is already in.
2. Fully loaded P bass clone body in three colour sunburst. Includes chrome bridge cover. Very good condition (apart from a little nappy rash on the back), fully working £35. P bass type Westfield neck, well crafted and again in great nick - just the odd scratch here and there with tuning heads fully working. Nut has been breathed on and relief set to the sweet spot. Fingerboard cleaned and oiled. £25 Cheap as chips back up bass, starter bass or work the parts into a project. Collect from Suffolk, or I can post for additional monies. Pictures will follow once I find my camera.
3. PM your Paypal address and tell me what markup you want to cover PP fees and I'll have them
4. I love my Aria STB P bass. What's more it cost me £10 . Found it on Gumtree, filthy, covered in student stickers and with "knackered electrics mate". Clean up, re seat the bridge earth and it's my go-to bass of all the 14 I've bought in the last three years.
5. Recent purchase to improve a Westfield B1000. Loved the SPB1s but not sure of the Westfield so looking to move the pups onto a loving home. Minty fresh, just a couple of weeks old and bought new. Price includes postage.
6. cheers guys! took the pickguard off and out popped the bridge earth wire. re-apply, hum gone. how good is this forum?
7. Hi I would be so grateful for a steer on my buzz/hum. I have just bought an Aria STB PB. It's going thru a previously faultless and quite new TC BH250 head. With volume and tone turned up full i get loud hum/buzz. This:

disappears if I touch the lead outercasing
disappears if I turn the tone right down
slightly worsens if I touch the pick up poles
is not affected by touching the strings or bridge
Anybody had similar or could tell me what's needed? Many thanks
8. The Westfield is a neat lightweight P bass clone with surprising build quality for little more than a £100 new. I got mine from Iconic on here and very fine it is too. However, while it's OK if you're totally skint, the stock pickup will benefit from replacing. I swapped mine out for a Seymour Duncan SPB1. I did consider the SPB3 but read various posts saying it was too in your face and the SPB1 was subtler. For me the SPB1 is great and a big improvement on the stock pup. But beware, the SPB1 pup covers are different in that they're shallower and the screw holes are closer together than on the orginal. This means you either have to use the stock pup covers, which means filing or sanding them down to the depth of the new pups. Or use the new covers and carefully drill at least one new hole in the body so the screws go in proper.

I have bought a Squier VM Jazz and latterly a Westfield B1000 from Richard. Pleasant and above board transaction both times. Would recommend.
10. just how good are they? i need a portable amp to allow me to play not too obviously at open mics, usually in support of mildly PA'd acoustic instruments. I seen one BCer uses one successfuly busking in shopping malls. so are they sueful, or for back bedroom practice only?

13. Hmmm... started on my teacher's Squier P Bass. Far too simple. Over the next two years: Fernandez Tremor fretless uneven fretboard so... Ibanez EDB600 put WD40 in the composite body pup screw holes & gassed myself so... Yamaha RBX270 boring so... Johnson fretless didn't play nicely so... Yamaha BB414 new, no character so... Hohner BBass Pro VI loved it Peavey Grind 5 loved it too so one had to go, so... Yamaha RBX260F realised I couldn't play f/less Squier VM Jazz Bass realised I couldn't play bass, so sold this and Hohner VI to go back to basics, so... Yamaha BB300 Mrs Lownote started tapping her foot very fast and emitting a high thin whine, so... Hohner BBass Pro IV v. cheap but wonderful. Starting to learn bass. Don't try this at home kids. Just buy a simple bass. Learn. End of...
14. now worked it out. Metal bit in pic above fits the other way up from the pic (channel facing downwards) in the E string 'tunnel' in the bridge. It fits over a a little pin and rests on top of the string. Then the dropped E lever works out. Cool. Stil have no idea what it does but at least it does it. Love a plan when it comes together.
15. were you really filling a shopping centre with a Roland micro cube?
