1. tried lightening it in photoshop and it still looked a sort of mustard colour. is that right?
2. The ramp fills the gap between the two pickups and the neck pickup and the neck. If you're good enough to use them they're apparently to stop your fingers digging in too much if you play in a certain style. For me they offer a thumb rest if I'm playing the B string 'off pickup'. Technically they should be curved to match the curve of the fingerboard. Mine are flat but then the fingerboard is a flat curve anyway. They are temp attached so can easily come off without marking the bass.
3. more facts please. is fingeboard lined or plain? fb marked from roundwound use? weight? condition? how much to post?
4. Hope to not be up to my eyes by this time next week so will be better able to organise postage, boxes and other exciting logistical stuff then.
5. BH250 head, almost new and not gigged. So small and light it fits easily in a gig bag pocket. 250w at 4 ohms (around 150-ish at 8). Comes with long power lead and Speakon-Speakon cable. Couple of tiny marks on black paint on chassis but otherwise immaculate. Boxed. £175. BC210 cab, bought new by me and practically as new. No marks, no smells, works perfectly. Ergonomic side handles and only 19kg so easy to cart about. Boxed. £175. BC210 cab, I'm the second owner. One or two slight scuffs on Tolex. Slight smell of smoke from previous owner but not too bad. I hate smoke and I live in the same room with it OK. Speakon-Speakon cable. £150. Prefer to sell the whole caboodle as one, obviously, and looking for £475 all up. Worth around £700 new. Cash on collection or cleared cheque and collection only. Willing to deliver a bit for diesel money at 10 miles to the pound round trip (for a single sale of all three items only). Will trade for quality lightweight combo, e.g. Roland Cube, plus wonga my way, but to match my kit it would have to be almost 'as new' with a reasonable price/value. Update: Losing the will to sell, but never say never. If you stumble across this ad in the future give me a shout, I might have changed my mind again.[So mods, please don't remove].
6. Just weighed it... a tad or smigeon over 4.5Kg, whatever that is in old real money
7. Hohner B Bass Professional VI six string, excellent condition. Very few marks if any. Active /passive. Cherished and cuddled by the present and previous owners and not gigged by either of us. Set up and adjusted. Currently shod with Overwater nickel light strings. Demountable Willis ramps. 34 inch scale. If you want to hear one in action: http://www.youtube.c...?v=3T3YD9t45HA. This isn't mine, but identical. Cash on collection preferred (middle East Anglia). Will post for £25 but I'd rather not, not because it's not feasible but I'm up to my eyes.
8. very very interested. might talk further once you post pix n details.
9. that's bermtree for you. the underbelly of the world. stay on top of the world with basschat and think happy thoughts.
10. I am selling one of my two BC 2x10 cabs. Most excellent two-tenner + tweeter, 250w, great range of sound. The best thing is the portability. Well balanced big handles and 19kg weight mean an old codger like me can carry it easily (even one-handed) up and down stairs and in and out of cars. That's why I bought it and haven't been disappointed. Only selling because I have GAS for a new bass and don't strictly need 4x10. This item is in nearly immaculate condition. I say nearly because at 4 feet away it looks new, but there are a couple of faint rub marks on the grille surround, consistent with the cab being laid face down in a car boot, and another on the top tolex. There is one tiny rip - 1/8 inch long - which has been repaired and tiny stone chip marks to the paint on a couple of the corner reinforcing brackets The previous owner was a smoker but most of the smell has now gone. I'm sensitive to smoke and the cab lives in my study and I can only occasionally smell a little whiff. If you're a smoker or go to smoky gigs you'll probably think this cab is too clean for you - it certainly won't be an issue for anyone but the most hyper-sensitive to smoke. Two Speakon connector sockets (no jack socket) I might be able to post her as I have an original box and packaging and as I say she's light. But it's still a big box around 20kg so it isn't going to be cheap to post, insured, and the cost will be yours on top of the purchase price. So pickup recommended, or I'd be willing to travel up to 25 miles from my base in the middle of East Anglia. For the sake of completeness, in the pic the cab for sale is the top one. The amp and lower cab are not for sale.

Fitzy I'm looking for a Jack but while i can't enlarge your pix to see detail, especially the wear you speak of, I'm not too excited.
14. thinking of getting a jack and just nice to know if and where bits can be found. E.g. There's one on Gumtree at the moment that's been in its case for 15 years and has corroded pickup screws. Only a little job but made much trickier if one wot's not where to find new ones.
15. Anyone know where I can get Hohner Jack spares, please?
16. I just bought an otherwise lovelyTC BC210 bass cab from another BC'er. I say 'otherwise' because he admits the cab was kept in a room with two smokers. And boy does it honk. Speaking as an ex-30 a day man, with an ex-smoker missus, you'd think we'd be tolerant but the stink just pervaded the house. So out it went to the barn, where it spent several days in the sun and wind. Still honked. So i washed the cab (not ther speakers, capiche) with mild soap. Then I treated it with Frebreeze. Then I washed it with detergent. Then treated it with AutoGlym Autofresh. Then I washed it in water and car body detergent. Know what? It still honked. Much less so, but it still gives off a puff of evil, especially if I play the low B. Next time you see an advert claiming an item to be from a 'pet and smoke free home' don't laugh. it really is an issue, unless you're smoker.
