1. Markbass Little Mark Black Line 250 head + bag (worth £50). 250w@4ohms, around 160@8 ohms Speakon speaker out connector These items have been cosseted since new and are in really excellent condition. Only selling because I've gone up in size - my amp needs, that is, not me. Light and highly portable, especially in its well padded carry bag with handle and straps. Many useful features and no gimics. Prefer not to post because of the potential shaking as much as anything. Collection only from middle of East Anglia, although I'm willing to deliver a certain distance - Norwich, Ipswich, Bury. Price is £150.
2. Seymour Duncan SPB3 Quarterpounder P bass pickups. Comes with new sponge pieces and screws. Covers used and a little scruffy but they and the pups work fine. £40 including delivery.
3. High quality lightweight cab (14kg). 1x 12" ported cab with tweeter. 300w @ 8ohms. Comes with black cover (red piping). Good condition in every way. £350 but open to near offers The cab is currently in the Milton Keynes area from where it can be collected Edit|@6DecThis sale is now being controlled by walbassuk. See his main ad at http://basschat.co.u...ch-only-1-left/
4.
...but personally I'd go the middle road - send back one of the One10's and keep the other + vanderkley. For the gigs where you're going through the PA, then a single One10 gives a great and highly portable stage monitoring set up. Not sure why you'd want the extra hassle of bringing two if its just for monitoring. For the gigs where the backline is doing the heavy lifting, then you have your preferred tone going out to everyone with the Vanderkley. See, with mentality like that, this is why I currently have 4 x amps/speakers!
Sorry, hope it's OK to butt in but this is just what I've done by a sort of accident - bought 1x BF One 10 and 1x Vanderkley 112EXT. Seems to offer me the best of all worlds and full flexibility. It's just my cab stack looks like that of a guy who couldn't make up his mind - which is pretty close to the truth. EDIT: Found it didn't sound nice nor was good theoretically to mate such different cabs. VK was fairly light but awkward to hump, BF seemed to have oceans of oomph with a MB LM2 head. In the end it was no contest and out went the VK, in stayed the BF 110.
5. I have for sale two Fender Rumble 112 1x12 cabs, version 2. Small and lightweight (10 Kg!) so an easy heft even for an older or unfit person. Twin 1/4 " jacks sockets on the back along with a horn rocker switch (on, off, -6db). Rubber feet on base and one side of the cab so you can have it portrait or landscape. Excellent condition: grill covering, tolex, driver, backs and rubber feet. One of the jacks on one of the cabs doesn't work but the other works fine. If you're daisy-chaining them, just put the cab with the one working socket on the end of the chain. One Roqsolid cover, worth at least £25. Looking for £225 for both cabs , ideally collected from East Anglia although I will post for more money.
6. rosewood and pearl blocks. i'll post pic in a while
7. I have a brand new Sire V7 4 Alder in tobacco burst. But I now want a 5 string of the same ilk. On the off chance you've just bought a V7 5 and can't get on with it I might be able to help with a swap plus a little cash your way. Yours would have to be the same condition as mine, which is mint. Played a few times in my bedroom, never been gigged or taken anywhere and hasn't a scratch. I'm not totally stuck on the burst colour sceme if yours is something else. This is a stock pic, but it is identical to mine.
8. Hipshot A chromed brass 4 string bridge to fit Fender / Squier. Three holes fit across the outer and middle of the five holes on the bass. As new, hardly used. Screw adjustments fore and aft, up and down, and side ways so you can alter the string spacing. Doesn't come with fixing screws (your old ones will work fine) but does come with a little Allen key. Why am I selling? Putting money towards a new bass (again, sigh) £50 to your door. Or I'll trade for something worth that... can't think what though!
9. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? One of mine, the G string one, got bent in a recent vendor-courier-me transition.
10. Ah, ta. I'm a bit thick and couldn't work out how they could switch out 6db less than off.
11. Hi y'all I have Fender Rumble v2 112 cabs with tweeter switches which have 3 settings: full/off and -6db. What exactly do these settings do to the sound, especially the -6db setting? Tnx
12. Dad chrome flats
13. Hi Collating experience on the above, especially the clarity/sustain/floppiness of the B string. Ta.
14. You have a point. Just checked Interparcel insurance and they reckon 2% of value up to £1000 - which is £20. So that's still only £35-40 to send insured. If someone in Glasgow or Devon wants my gear it's a no brainer to send it. Assuming you're not expecting catastrophe, which I haven't had (yet!).
15. Not taking any of the grief away from other posters but I've bought and sold 21 basses and 10 amps /cabs. Most of these have been couriered and I have had 100% satisfaction and no nightmares. The down side of the anti-courier lobby is people advertising desirable kit the other side of the country on a local pick up only basis. Am I going to spend £50 on petrol to pick up a £120 bass? No. So you see the adverts being bumped for literally months in some cases.
16. Looking for someone to learn me improv techniques. My attempts to give money to teachers I have found have so far met with failure. No one seems to want the work.
