1. Dark brown and gold flecked scratch plate, screws and thumb rest from a 60s Squier CV bass. May fit other Squier P basses but can't guarantee it. The screw holes match my '95 SqP but I think the overall dimension of the plate are slightly smaller. Price includes postage £25.
2.
The CV pup is supposed to be (apparently) a tonerider pup but the best thing to do would be try them both and use the one you prefer the sound of.
So is a tonerider a good thing?
3. Just scored a 20 year old Korean Squier from Lozz on here. I also have the wiring loom and pup for a 60s Squier Classic Vibe P Bass from another project which fell through. Does anyone know if there would be a significant improvement swapping the CV pup into the Korean Squier? I don't want to mess about with soldering iron and screwdriver unless it's justified. Many thanks
4. I have a little Marshall Bass 20 20w combo going begging to clear space. Free collected from North Suffolk. Bit scruffy but not beaten up and works OK.
5. so which is more beauty, the 62 Fenders or the originals Squiers?
6. how much to post? and have you changed the pup? i just noticed pup packaging among your pictures.
7. Beyond awesome. Lust is a deadly sin. Are those humming pups or humbuckers? I do so hate a humming pickup.
8. I don't I'm afraid. the bridge pup is marked N3 and the split neck pup isn't marked at all. Not much help
9. Fender pickups for a PJ config, will split. Bridge pickup N3 £25 Neck pick up set £25 Postage say £3.50 each
10. As it says on the tin really. Black Overwater by Tanglewood Classic Jazz, vgc. D'Addario flat wound strings with plenty of life in them. Thumb rest added and pots modded to VVT rather than VPT. Only gigged a few times and well looked after. It's about 18 months old and I've had it since new. Prefer collection (mid East Anglia) but will post for £15. Please note I will be out of comms for a week from 13th July.
11. They're fairrly light. i have its 6 string sibling and i measured that yesterday at a smidgeon under 10 pounds. If i recall right my Hohner 4 was a good deal lighter.
12. Up for sale is my Tanglewater Classic Jazz in black. It has had the PJ config pickups upgraded with genuine Fender items which give better sound than the originals, but the originals are included in the sale if you want to swap back. The Fender pups alone are worth £60. Note the wiring has been changed from pan, volume, tone to volume, volume, tone, because IMHO you get more control that way. Very good condition. One or two marks of use but no serious dings. Strung with chrome flats which are fairly new and certainly have years of life left in them. Thumb rest. Smoke free home and I've had it from new. Happy to post at cost (probably £10-15), or pick up from the middle of East Anglia. I will also deliver for diesel money within say 25 miles. Only selling because I've moved on to a six string and playing a four as well just confuses me. £175.
13. or some bass for the money ,m8 glwts. if it was a5 id have your hand off
14. i think you already have Sam, these puppies normally go for £200-300.
15. This is an absurdly low price for an awesome bass. I've had two and still have one otherwise I'd be crawling to Cumbria pushing the price in pennies with my nose. GLWTS.
