1. All PMs replied to. Feel free to ask me any questions (regarding this bass!)
2.
Wish I hadn't just bought a new kitchen, this is a dream bass right here. Adult responsibilities are no fun.
Soon to purchase some flooring for the house - agree about adult responsibilities!

Relative bargain!!! I’ve had this bass from new and it has never been gigged. The condition is Excellent. It is not totally mint condition as there are some very light player marks on pickguard. There is also a tiny ding on the back of the body (very difficult to spot if not shown). All of these are not really noticeable and hard to show even in high quality photos. The bass comes with original high quality Xotic case. It plays superbly and has a flawless fretboard with a completely even tone across the entirety. I bought this on the back of the quality of the XJ I used own (recently sold here). The Xotic XP-1T 4-string (P-bass Style) was created borrowing some of the popular technologies of our XJ-1T 4-string (J-bass Style), like our Tri-Logic Bass Preamp, our pursuit of natural playability and a body style that promotes acoustical sustain. To accompany our new XP-1T bass, we've designed a new pickup, the Xotic PV-1. We're confident that this new pickup will satisfy your needs for a fat and solid sound. Head Stock / Tuner Trusted for its quality and precision, we chose the Hipshot Ultra lite for the machine heads. There is no need to remove the neck or the pick guard to make the adjustment. Xotic's manufacturing process improves the stability of the neck. Under normal conditions and use, the neck's consistency should remain strong and steady, but minor adjustment of the Truss rod may be required under harsher environment or changes in season. We've made the adjustments very easy with the placement of the Truss Rod. Bridge The XP series uses Xotic A Style for the bridge because its brass alloy doesn't lose any vibrations from the strings, giving it fat and solid tone. This bridge provides adjustments to the pitch and tension of each string giving you your own custom set-up. Body A medium-weight swamp ash materials are used for the body. These tone woods are carefully selected and chosen for their hard-grained material. Our fingerboard features a 10" radius, which is a gentler curve than vintage spec, and is adorned with Luminova phosphorescent position markers. These markers are a perfect choice when performing on a dark stage as they glow 10 times brighter and last longer than other comparable materials. The preamp is designed to minimise the change in tonal quality and incorporates a 3 band EQ. The preamps and EQ makes it ideal for covering a wide range of musical styles. We improved the preamps functionality by positioning 2 mini toggle switches, just below the bridge, so you can instantly switch between high-mid/low-mid and various treble EQ frequencies. The Tri-Logic 2's electrical circuit is redesigned with amplifying element for reduced electric al consumption and noise, for better tone and longer battery life. PU Cover This flat pickup cover also functions as a finger ramp. There are also thumb rests on the side that are helpful for stabilizing your picking. And since the pole pieces are not bare, this visually attractive cover also eliminates the noise from fingers or pick which are prevalent for the P-Bass.
4. Tonci just bought my Musicman Stingray. What an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had some great communication and he knew exactly what he wanted and there was no fuss whatsoever. Once we had sorted a deal out, he paid me within minutes. When the bass arrived he messaged me straight away and sent photos of it in its new home! Always good to see another bass arrive safe and sound, and with the new owner happy. As others have said, Tonci is great person to do bass business with and also just a top bloke.
5. These are new replacement Sandberg HCA tuning pegs. I have three in total and I'm selling separately at £7 each including p&p. I will upload photos tonight.
6. If you decided to sell, please let me know!!
7.
gigged my Flea for the first time in 5 weeks, yesterday. I still can't believe how good it sounds. I really like the sound with both pickups full up and wide open on the tone. I'm nicely adding to the relicing too!!
Totally agree with you here. I'm generally not a tone wide open kind of guy! More of, it completely rolled off. However, exactly as you say it sounds so good both pickups on full and wide open. I'm really bonding with the bass and haven't touched my other ones much since having this. It's funny that my other basses do other things better than the flea bass in some departments. But, for me at least, there is some that just fits and work really well with this bass.
8. My favourite bass at the moment. Haven't touched my others since this arrived. Great tone from the pickups and you are unlikely to fine one at such a low price. Grab it quick!
9. I have an xotic and I can say that they are a really classy bass. Fantastic even tone and the fretboard is rock solid and even all over. Superbly built too. I have a cherry colour one (switches on front), but think this blonde colour is my favourite! This is also going for an insanely good price!
10. Used to have one of these. Cracking bass and this one is going for a very reasonable price. New ones cost a LOT more. Listen to the video clip, which is great, is making me think why did I sell mine!!!

12. So I bought one of these when they first came out and documented my experience way back in this thread. Sadly I didn't quite gel with the bass I got. At the time I couldn't get on with the set up, the tone and the quality of the construction. It went back. Despite all this there was something still nagging me about the bass. I guess I could see the potential, despite the problems I experienced. Pretty much over the whole of the summer I obsessed about the bass. I constantly checked shops that sold it, re-read this thread and hunted out videos on youTube! Then the price started going up and the original basses at the original prices started to get sold. As the numbers got less I started obsessing that I should give one another go, but was still holding back due to my earlier bad experience. It got to the point where I could only find one shop that had it at the original price. I dithered about buying this one for a while. When I finally phoned up to order it, someone had bought it a few minutes before me. I put this down to fate and that it wasn't meant to be.... Then maybe about a month later I decided to just order (as they were all sold out now) one (from the same shop, to be fair to them). If I got a duff one it could go back, if I got a good one, it could be great. It was the logical thing to do and would hopefully put an end to my obsessing!! I think it took about 2 months to come and it finally arrived last week. By all account it looks like the box had arrived at the shop and then sent straight to me. It was well packaged and appear that it had never been opened before. I was anxious whether it had been even checked. I nervously unpacked it and this time the bass just felt right. Almost perfect for me. Everything felt nice in hand and under my fingers. The action was slightly high, but the neck bow was probably just right. With the last bass I was totally underwhelmed when plugged in. However, as soon I plugged this in I found a tone I immediately loved and felt very at home. It really does feel like a different bass and made me glad that I decided to give this another shot. I have wondered whether this is all psychological and simply because I have built this up in my head. But I don't think it is that. I have bought and sold a fair few basses this year and if anything I'm fussier than ever. Annoyingly I notice imperfection more than ever. However, this bass ticks a lot of boxes for me and feels really really good and sounds amazing. Often I'm a bit disappointed with a new bass (especially when buying blind), but can now happily say the Flea bass has worked out for me!
13. Marcus just bought my Sandberg VM4. Was an absolute pleasure communicating with him. Conversations were friendly and he was always responsive and never wasted time. Once we struck a deal he paid pretty much instantly. Everything was perfect and he was a perfect buyer and modern day gent! Top bloke to deal with and I would highly recommend doing business with him.
14. Superb bass at £999 with some basic sound demos below: https://soundcloud.com/maldymusic/sandberg-vm4-finger-style https://soundcloud.com/maldymusic/sandberg-vm4-slap-style
15. Had even more great trade offers, but sadly I need to downsize and am just looking for a sale Bump!
16. Just recorded some sound samples for an interested party. I can email them on if anyone else is interested.
