My Mrs does Hopi ear candles. She inserts some sort of wax tubes into my ears and sets fire to them! I was scared stiff at first but I actually found it quite relaxing! That works for me. She reckons if its severe to put a few drops of olive oil in (day and night) for a few days before the treatment. You can have them done at holistic therapists and some beauty salons. You can buy them yourself and get somebody else to hold them etc but she doesn't recommend it incase the candles are inserted wrongly. Dont be scared!
How does this work then? Does the wick of the candle draw out the ear wax?

Similar experience at gig in an Army Barracks on Tuesday. Very drunk girl walked into our "stage" area, and proceeded to shout in my ear mid-song to ask whether it bothered me that nobody likes us because no one was dancing.
Can I be in your band?
Yes. We have open positions for scantily clad maraca shaking backing singers, if you're interested?
Now I love a very wide cross section of music so I'll never criticise variety, however, you do seem to have a lot of big strong songs from very different eras/genres, and to me they are not sitting easily with one another - Pump it Up and Alright Now for one example - Burning Down The House, Boys Are Back in Town, Wanted Dead or Alive as another. Now I like four out of five of those, but put it this way, I'd never dream of putting them together on a mix tape.
Agreed, we're a very new as a band (four gigs under out belt so far, each of us with lots of experience in other bands though) so are a bit of a hodge-podge of ideas as far as song selection goes.
Christ, would you want to have to be moderator for that lot?? Cos I'm blowed if I would.
I can't see it being too hard to program in a search function on the basis of the already existing price field that you have to specify when selling an item...! Removes the need for human moderation, and as that price field can't be edited after the thread is started, it gets round Woodinblack's problem above. -
Chaps (and chapettes), I could use a bit of set list advice, specifically, opinions on what order to put our set list in. This is our set list in the order that we've been doing it (which the singer has chosen). I'm not saying it's wrong, but just feel that we could be getting more out of the songs. What do you think? Could also use some set list order tops tips if you have them. Set 1 – 1. Learn to Fly 2. Beautiful Day 3. Run to You 3. Clocks 4. It’s my Life 5. How you remind me 6. Alright Now 7. Mississippi Queen 8. Hole Hearted 10.Roxanne 11.Wild Night 12.Pump it up 13. Should I stay or should I go 14.Hash Pipe 15.One Vision 16. Fall to Pieces 17. You shook me all night long Set 2 - 1. Helter Skelter 2. White Room 3. Gimme Shelter 4. Rock ‘n’ Roll 5. Superstition - Beck, Boggert and Appice 6. Burning down the house 7. The boys are back in town 8. Wanted Dead or Alive 9. White Trash Millionaire 10.Cochise 11. Hammer to Fall 12.Plug in Baby 13.The Pretender 14. Dakota 15. Highway to Hell 16. Sex on Fire 17. Sweet child O mine

Another one of those Black Eagle basses. Seems that the neck is fecked on this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ultra-rare-1977-AntoriaIbanez-Black-Eagle-Bass-Guitar-Restoration-Project-/191157087499 -
You should have bought a proper bass in the first place!
what happens if you start at £375 and reduce the price to £340. Would you have to change its forum?
Course not! It's your own silly fault for putting it in the lower middle class section in the first place!!! -
Hondo II Professional 'H1015', don't know the real name of the colour or even the year of manufacture, but most likely the tail end of the 70s.
I dont know if this is because I am a poor man, but I always think basschat should have different areas for basses of different price points/leagues E.g an area for sub £400 basses, area for generic Fender basses and an area for basses that cost as much as a small hatchback that look silly and have too many strings. That way I can choose which zone I want to hang around in
This is a great idea for the marketplace! - £1000 and up - £500 to £1000 - £350 to £500 - £200 to £350 - The grotty bargain bin. Saves trawling through all that posh crap....!!! -

Another voice to say that my Roqsolid covers have been fantastic, were perfect first time when i ordered them and by the looks of the scuffs, lines and marks on the covers, have saved my cabs from an awful lot of damage. Doesn't detract from the fact that you have had a bad experience, but I would say that we should judge them on the many happy customers rather than what seems to be a bit of an isolated incident.

5 or 6 months later, I'm still really happy with my G30. I definitely need to get myself one of those levy's wireless holder jobbies though, I've taken to taping the transmitter to my strap with electricians tape at every gig. The wireless holder is £20 on Amazon at the moment. I did find out the source of my range troubles, and that was down to me being a dipstick and having my smartphone next to the receiver, which seemed to interfere with the signal. Range is now excellent. Being wireless is glorious, even if only for the chance to carry on playing while jogging round the pub like a muppet to puzzled looks from punters.
