  1. I had the pleasure of owning a German Club for a while. Had to move it on as it was too expensive to be a 'core bass' but that was a beautiful instrument. Just wonderful. Played like a dream and recorded incredibly well
  2. I like the look of those Hofner Clubs
  3. One of the greats. Otherworldy. Cheers!
  4. OMG beautiful - I love the U neck on these basses. Argh ouch...
  5. These are such beautifully made basses. And this one is especially flamey. GLWTS!
  6. Exactly - weight is a key question. For e.g. I'm also quite interested in the 50s tele reissues. My brother has a beautiful AVRI blackguard that weighs in at 6.5lbs. I've already seen a comparison video where the comparable AVII is much heavier.
  7. Yup - I thought the same. Fully expected them to be hovering up near 2.5K.
  8. Allo all, If anyone has picked up the new 66 reissue jazz bass, would be good to get your thoughts especially if you've played the older AVRIs. They look rather nice
  9. Price drop to £350 ONO Up for sale is my very nice Yamaha TX802. It is based on the DX7-II architecture, but with a highly flexible 8 individual outs plus a stereo pair, and 8 layers of voicing (vs 2 for the DX7-II). It’s a very powerful FM workhorse (especially in conjunction with editor software that you can hook up from your Mac/PC). It’s a very versatile, great sounding machine. Only selling as I need a telecaster (Which I could take as a part ex with dosh from me if you're interested). Specifically a 90s US Standard with a maple fretboard. Handover preferred in Kent/Sussex/M25 sorta region. Shipping possible too. Anyhow, here are a couple of pics and a couple of links to what this great box can do. And everyone's favourite synth nerd, Espen Kraft, singing the praises of the TX802
  10. Looking for a trade or part-ex on a more open, less mid oriented cab to match my Trace Elliot AH250 e.g. a big 2x12 or a 4x10

  12. I had the bigger version of this amp when I was a kid. I used to do feedback solos with the bass pressed up against the grille and everything up on full. It sounded like a 747 taking off! Ahhh what fun
  13. And just to add - if you have a smaller/lower powered head like an LMII or similar up for trade (with cash from me), that could work too

  15. Going to withdraw this amp and work on swapping out my cab for some thing a bit less mid-voiced than the Aguilar DB112 I currently have. I will leave the pics up though as it's gawjus...

  17. Here's a bump for a new plan... Looking to part ex for a good condition DB212. Apologies for varying price estimates in the title - if you're interested in a part-ex let me know and we can work something out...
