1.
The BB2 will go much louder than any other 112 cab, including the Vanderkley. As Barefaced cabs are very good at putting out what you put in I'd suggest you could check your tone settings or check the cab by trying a different amp.
Absolutely ChrisB I had totally overlooked those things and have now come to my senses... clearly the op needs to learn how to use his amp correctly or even replace his amp altogether for one that is a little more flat response/honest/puts out what you put in/high efficiency/ louder than any other amp for the size and weight, and most importantly can push those very special custom made, top secret, state of the art drivers with unbelievably impressive Xmax and dispersion performance to their limit, it is inconceivable that someone would find a B*******d product not to taste!
2. I have 2x 112mnt powered by a Puma 900. They love power and sound deep and clear with a slight low mid push. They are also beautifully finished. Can't speak for the PJB and don't want to get involved in another B*******d row😬
3. I would love to hear that!
4. Hey no worries, that would have been perfect for me however I have literally just this week bought another bass🙁
5. Great pickups, I have a set of these in my Nordy VJ4... They sound stunning!
6.
Bergantino say that the HDN is more expensive than the HD, and at the moment Mark's doing the CN cheaper than the HD (it was £50 more expensive, now it's £50 cheaper). So it might be the same price as the pre-discount CN series.
that is exactly what Mark meant...he was referring to full retail price not sale price
7. I have worked with lots of really average drummers and two absolutely incredible drummers. The two good ones seemed to just have an ability to lay down what was needed for the song, nothing too flash just perfect. The average ones just seem to overplay...badly
8. Beautiful bass, if that was in the uk I would be all over it!
9.
I've checked the 1x12" specs. Humm... $800 + VAT + Import Taxes for a 15kg cab that "only" puts out 350W... i think we can find cheaper/lighter from EU builders without compromising tone.
From the email that I received from Mark Stickley read the price should be similar to the CN series
10. Looks like Mark has the CN cabs on special offer at Bass Direct, around £100 saving per cab!
11.
Hmmm first line I read seems to be a concession that suggests the NEO cab sacrificed tone. ??
Yeah I think you are right it does seem to read that way, I am almost tempted to agree as well. The ceramic loaded Bergs that I have used have the edge over the neo's for punch and depth. If I could manage it then I would still be using either my old hs410 or hd212... age is not on my side unfortunately
12. Short, sweet and too the point🤓
13. Looks like Jim has released another range of cabs http://bergantino.com/product-category/bass-guitar-speakers/hdn-series/ From the description on his website they will sound closer to the HD series than the CN that they must be replacing... Interesting
14. Basil!
15.
Ian, that TecAmp PUMA 900 you have. Is it German ?
Lol how are the TKS?
16. Karl this is getting ridiculous now you are practically giving it away!
17.
OK does this mean you now get bragging rights if you own what's going to be described as an 'original german-made' Tecamp?
Yeah of course it does.. Mine is German mine is German mine is German lol My Puma 900 (German) is going nowhere, love it to bits Oh and did I mention it is German
18. I just had a duff E string in a pack of XL's... After emailing Daddario customer services their marketing manager emailed straight back and is sending out a some new strings and a complementary T shirt. I cannot speak more highly of this company, this is great customer service
19.
Surely this CN212 has to be bargain of the year (so far): http://basschat.co.uk/topic/270284-bergantino-cn212-cover-l650/
Yeah I sold mine for the same price, looks like unless it has B********d on it these days then folks just ignore it. A bit daft really given how good a cab it is. I even thought of buying that one myself as I really do miss the sound...
20. profile says Durham
21. That is a great bass at that price, how heavy is it?
22. If we are talking single 12's then The op mentioned the Vanderkley 212. Might be worth a look at the 112 mnt, it is a beast of a 112 rated at 600 watts @8 ohms. I have a pair with a puma 900 and they totally kick ass plus are a really easy lift. They are bigger than the Berg 112 (which I always felt struggled on their own at a gig) the mnt delivers some serious output and depth of tone.
