I'd be interested in the comparison to see how much of an upgrade the P34 might be to my 734a, obviously in passive mode.

Don't be upset, they'll be on my 424 soon enough. I'm going to record something with the 734 in passive with both PUs, then swap them to the 424 and do the same. See how the two compare. Obviously active is where the 734 is at but it'll be interesting to see how similar they are, or not, both passive.

Couldn't agree more. I'm semi in the market for a P34, but I don't want sunburst so that leaves blue, which will look black on stage.

While we're on a 734a vibe, I saw some pictures of Hooky today at the 'World is a Vampire' festival in Mexico playing a bright red 734a. I don't know why he wasn't playing his usual BBPH as he loves the reverse P, hopefully nothing has happened to them. I assume he's had the 734 refinished in red.

I've gone rogue Ric and put them on my 734a first to see what they're like. Too early to tell yet but I'll report back. See if there's any specialist radio shows (airwaves or internet) that play your style of music and send it to them. There's a radio station in Stoke On Trent (we're in Cornwall/Devon) that plays us sometimes on their Sunday night Mod show. Before Christmas they did a little feature and played five in a row and we were getting calls for gigs in Scarborough, Essex, all over, unfortunately we're not playing at the mo. If you're lucky you might be able to get a little tour together.

I'm in the Cornwall, albeit the other end to Penzance, and everywhere is a long way from here. Very interesting to have Hannah Sedgewick brought to my attention as my Gedo bass, bought new ten years ago, has never had a real set up. I lowered the nut slots and have an adjustable bridge so it plays nicely but I think the sound post is too tight as it now has a slight hump in the back where it sits. Although I'm happy with how it plays I'm sure a set up would improve it somewhat.

Wasn't there an issue post brexit with Eurosender operating in the UK, being based in the EU or something? I used them a couple of times previously and was very happy, fully insured and was only around £12 for halfway across England.
