2.
cracking, makes me realise just how crap i am!
Ditto There's freedom In knowing your crap though. Specially when you don't care what people think.
3. Should also say it was great bass face. Not even a glimmer of satisfaction when shredding the fretboard to pieces with tapping and slapping. Cool under pressure, that's the way to do it.
4. Enjoyed that. Feeling vastly inferior now too, but it encourages practice I suppose.
5.
You may see it in the stars, but I see myself ending up in the doghouse!
That's why I'm trying to sell before buying. Wife says go ahead but she really means "I dare you" and I will regret it.
6.
That is freaky as both my Afterburners are from Ballymena. One via Bass Direct and the other Ballymena Direct!
its in the stars man. You gotta buy my bass.......
7. I'm in ballymena, originally from belfast though. Same area as bigwan I believe, never met but just from what I read on here on BC that's where he's based. Good luck with the gigs, I don't play out so much it's just more of a hobby for me now. Kids and work and church busyness makes sure of that for the meantime anyhow. Cheers
8.
I am looking for a Z series, but maple neck option on this is so very tempting. I'm in the North this weekend too! Incidentally what have you seen to make you want to sell this?
I'm pining for a dingwall jazz Or a jazz-ish something else. Are you tempted graham? You can never have enough basses y'know but the Z series is just bass heaven. Sadly I don't have the money for that just yet without making my family homeless.
9. Buy me bump
10. Tempted to take this back . . .
11.
I use a Darkglass B7K, having tried all sorts of drive pedals this to me is the best pedal I've ever owned.
I'm leaving this one till last as I will probably end up keeping it. That, and the fact that I don't have £275.00 to blow on it.
12.
i'd Get used to them
I wouldn't care. I'd be content to have them on my bass I think.
13. It's still impressive, one trusted bass model not even a glimpse of a fiver. Dabbled with acoustic on clansman and couple of others unless I'm mistaken but little else. Like Lemmy and that breed we can't mention although his signature is a 4004 Stick to your guns, if it ain't broke don't tweak it. I could do with paying attention and my bank balance might be healthier.
14. Scream for me Basschat..........
15. I'm on a bit of a search for a good overdrive sound too and have tried the tech21 BDDI and it's a really good piece of gear. Haven't tried the VT version though. Having said that I'm currently trying a behringer BDi21 and if you don't wana spend a lot of money it's hard to go past what this does. It is not as plush and doesn't get as fuzzy as the tech 21 but for 25 quid it's hard to complain. The zoom B3 isn't really that difficult to work with, I'm not great with multi effects but if you just pick your effects In a row it behaves like three separate boxes. I'm sure this gear will have critics too but it's what works for you on your budget is what's important. One players nirvana is another's piece of garbage.
16. Makes me wonder why we spend thousands on basses and gear when a bloke like Steve can rule the world with the same P bass for over thirty years. I played my own p bass for the first in a while yesterday after reading the OP a few days ago. It's for sale on here but I have to admit that there is nothing quite like the sound of a good P bass plucked. Interesting that I have never had the logo worn problem that my favourite bassist has, but then again I'm not playing to 80,000 at twickenham on a night out. But. Just proves how rubbish I really am compared to the likes of him. Long live King 'arry
17. I feel your pain too dude. Market is slow cuz we are all skint.
18. Yep. likewise with yours I kinda hoped the silly low price would have shifted it quick. I dont wana miss what im gassing at and it needs to go. just no cash about, I think thats just about it. But we are all in the same boat. who would be a skint bass player.....?

20. That's gorgeous.....
21. Here is my Dingwall ABZ5 for sale. Nearest sensible offer can have it. This is a really really low price as one of these new is over £2,000. Why you ask? I need to change to a more vintage look. The worlds best B string on a passive bass. IMHO Awesome bass, in excellent condition with incredible options in sound. I've seen something I really want and I need to sell quickly, hence the ridiculous price. If it's too much make me an offer close to it and it's yours. If the bass I'm looking at is sold before I sell this I will likely just keep it. Comes with substantial tribal planet gig bag. Price includes post to UK Thanks
