  1. Go Fukkking Massive Actually, you can't really make a bench too long, but you can make it too wide. Check out Rex Kruger on YT, one video about four common mistakes made when building your first bench and one about building an English Joiners bench. I'm going to build one of his in the new year, it's going to be 1500mm long, 600 deep and about 850 tall. For context my current bench is 2m x 1m and I'm only using a square about 600 x 700 to work on. The rest has become stuff storage.
  2. So do I. I wanted it to be as invisible as possible. Looks great shut, needs a bit of thinking for the look once the lid is off. Happy Christmas to you too.
  3. Box no.2, mahogany and oak, BLO with wax. I'm not convinced with how I left the end where the lid fits in, I should have cut the top frame rail in half so the end panel is finished rather than flapping in the breeze, but that would have bu$$ered up the proportions. Yes it looks like another table tomb.
  4. I wouldn't trust Ricky's opinion, the colour blind fukkwit.
  5. It's 100 x 200. The lid thickness makes it about 110 mm tall.
  6. Little wooden box, mahogany and ash. Yes, it does look like a table tomb, but that really is a coincidence.
  7. On the offchance this hasn't yet appeared https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293731142287?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110018%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.COMPLISTINGS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D235467%26meid%3D44f38acec5d745309f36a9d16dbfd23f%26pid%3D101196%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D304236414670%26itm%3D293731142287%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DItemStripV101HighAdFeeWithCompV3Ranker&_trksid=p2047675.c101196.m2219&amdata=cksum%3A29373114228744f38acec5d745309f36a9d16dbfd23f|enc%3AAQAGAAACAL%2Ft4YOolP8bqpqmf%2FyZVOsTWS633Kyp6Quol2ikFcAzaK5yw0DKkztS3xaWtX4PV%2Fs2zZ%2F%2BnIvi6jbYDO%2BYqkcmOp2jS3wl0n8%2BZmgqjnFNVfcvq0BlzERimzJR4LJx1zvxFzzGS0F2Ix%2B2CqIZ0J7U6YxXmjr3bz3%2FePRLOEuckjXerBAAHdgJDhvvU4CyFyXndFQIOWdGDyjN%2Fy6itf%2BkJECttFsErDmDD6ReZz9rkJGSGcvb%2ByY2N30giZv7i9txtskua9voanSkjvlkbe3vp1lFnsBS0loRs1K57Yis2BMwdwARAbt3DHyk6GbMmtJaAt%2BYpKclftya9J9kTYTKagbo8wVGDfmmAa2Ob9YP7UCdLX%2Fixcov6LK63n440H9107MAeX39vuMBNby6BO%2F6yNEK7sE3V2FT7Gm%2BuNJDTM9U%2B4PvG8fYouGf3UIYqtzPW5s%2BJyp3RD00CmMTc4Pq9Zc5393Ks9wxhlPGiBQy5zBhN5xAUbk4rpCqqnIZFFOmutmWBGrwWL5cDqFI3MB8bttZZ0RoUoiLrF2TVPA%2BiZmQR2pnOb2RUz7G9wkF9hszSX%2BG1ocPiqtSgk%2B%2B10NXc%2BGGGgCyJfC9E%2FCgnHOGisbPJAYIVWqx0WNptO%2F%2BvITjxWuvGOyEjeLqHjMFxo7NgXGu2Sq8ZXpGXitVY39U|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2047675 Not sure why the massive URL
  8. I bought some 40 x 200 x 3000 from the DIY shed a couple of weeks ago. It felt nice and light and I bought the flattest ones I could find. They've all cupped to a greater or lesser extent. Poxy things.
  9. What happens if you get a seasoned bit of wood and leave it outside again? Does it unseason at the rate of 25mm per year? Just thinking "aloud" about the process really.
  10. Exactly. He wrote it about stalking his ex wife!
  11. Du Hast? Killing in the name of...
  12. To me, and this may be what I'm seeing rather than what's in reality, the top point on the right hand or lower sound hole is slightly lower than its counterpart on the left. It may just be the picture rather than the instrument itself.
  13. Not to rain on the parade, but are top of the Norrisoles© in line, or just the picture makes them look wonky?
  14. Need a bigger flight case then.
  15. Though..... as the TC is a set and forget, with a bit of cogimitating and WTFery it could go underneath. Hmmm. No rush fortunately
  16. I'm going to be reorganising my pedal board in the near future, I bought an A/B switch to send the output to either 6.5 or DI. I'm running out of space, so advice please I'll read all comments and may or may not act on them. Definite keepers are the B3n, TC Dynamics, Line6 receiver and the clock. I'd like to keep the Peterson because it's a bit of being and a useful mute switch, and the channel switcher for the amp, just in case!
  17. Single videos not so much, but there's only two here anyway https://youtube.com/channel/UC5lrFGyVaenC8RC8TmMbcWw
  18. I imagine it's along the lines of the "Any landing" gag. Any questionable setup that doesn't cut a finger off is a good questionable setup
  19. Another not very well made article.
  20. Maybe it's a creation of He Who Shall Not Be Named? Can't be, the tuners aren't on the skew.
  21. With a bigger hole, obvs 😜 I would use a small forstner bit or wood drill with a point rather than a normal twist drill. A twist drill is likely to wander into the hole you already have. Choose a bit just slightly larger to cover the radius between your new centre and the edge of the existing hole and a standard dowel dimension if you can.
