1.
argh... now you've added black tuners and bridge... question, would the tuners fit my Squier VMJ? and is the black bridge a drop in replacement for a normal Fender 4 string bridge? If yes to either or both, then I'd like to stick my name in for applicable item(s) I'm currently "toning down" my VMJ by making it black and maple. Got black strings on and proper Fender knobs... the control plate is already on order... argh... you've got to be fast here, that PM wasn't there when I started this post...
Good luck with the VMJ, I did exactly the same to mine a few months ago and stuck on all black hardware and a BassAss II, and now I bloody loves it! Take a peek at mine.... (oo-er!) (And its got a plastic teddy bear I found in a supermarket car park on the head to give it extra mojo) I'd be very tempted to the Jazz Pups if I knew a damn thing about putting the buggers in, but alas my soldering knowledge is very limited. By limited I actually mean I have none... Best of luck though amigo.
2. I'd have them off you but unfortunately i'm sans transport at the moment. If you still have them in a couple of weeks i'd love to have the buggers!
3. I'm currently based in Enfield, North London, but i'm always going to both Bristol and Norfolk, so anywhere between any of those would be fine for me to possibly deliver. I might be interested in the Peavey, but in all honesty I already have a Peavey International 5-string. The pickups are active, but they're not the highest output i've ever heard, but still waaaay louder than any passive i've heard. Anyone else possibly interested.....?
4. Righty-ho, this is just a bit of a feeler at the moment, but i'm thinking of parting company with my Traben Phoenix 4-string in "Black Shadow" finish. I've had it from new for about 18 months or so, and its only ever been to two rehearsals with me, so its in great condition. No nicks or dings or anything, as the photo's will show. Its a 35" scale, which the company stopped making about a year ago now. (They now make all their 4-strings at 34" scale.) Its got Gotoh tuners and that MASSIVE flame bridge, which sounds great when you string through the body and get sustain that lasts forever. It has the Traben active 3-band EQ, and the only reason i'm thinking of getting rid is because as much as I do really love it, for some elusive reason I just don't play it. I recently got the brass nut filed and it's now fitted with the bottom 4-strings of a 5-string set, so its tuned B/E/A/D. This can obviously be put back to normal, but you'd need to put in a new nut. But hey, thats only a few quid and easy as scratching your bum. It has an Ibanez-style fast neck, and the harmony central reviews all praise it pretty good; http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...ny/Phoenix/10/1 Here's the link to the Traben website and the current model, which is exactly the same except the scale; http://www.trabenbass.com/phoenix.php And here's a few photo's to gawp at..... Like I said i've had it from new, and had the extra pleasure of paying the £110 import shipping and tax on it. I'm not really sure what to ask for it, so i'm more open to trades. I'm after a 5-string or a tasty 4-string, or a half decent fretless would be nice. Possibly open to amps/combo's or whatever, try me for size. Just let me know what ya' got, but if nothing comes up then i'll keep it and look at it every now and then....! Cheers y'all. NOW WITHDRAWN FROM SALE, SORRY TO INTERESTED PARTIES BUT IT'S JUST TOO NICE TO GET RID OF TOO CHEAPLY!!
5. I was just browsing the jobs online and found this, its got a few weeks before it ends and it sounds pretty good for the right person. http://www.washijb.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/In...p;ref=SHB/15394 There's another vacancy for the BBC orchestra on the same website too, but that one doesn't state salary. Hope this helps someone out there!
6. Bloody hell! That was fast! Superb basses, and like I put on the other ad, if for any amazing reason you still have it in about a month then i'll gladly take it off your hands. Best of luck though mate.
7. Sorry amigo, just measured mine and I have the extra long one too. It just feels that tiny bit too short for me, but then again I am 6'6". If its new you could bang it on evilbay or maybe here and take a small loss on it and buy the other one? Just a thought. Best of luck fella.
8. Oh man, if you still have this for any reason in about a month then i'd happily give you £200 for it, I think these model Ibanez's are bloody fantastic. Have a bump on me amigo! (And I hope it doesn't sell.....!)
9. Could you let me know the total length when its fully adjusted please mate, I have a comfort strap thats just that bit too short for me that i'd happily trade if yours is longer (fnar fnar...)
10. Still available...... Ideally after a tuner, octave or chorus pedal.....
11. I'm currently fleeting between Norwich, Enfield, Lambeth and Bristol, so anywhere between those would be fine for me.
12. After going through the attic i found this beasty, a Numark foam lined flight case.... Its a perfect road case for whatever you might wanna stick in it, with 4 rubber feet on the bottom and a solid leather handle. Outside its a bit rusty in places (as you can see in the photo) but inside its like new, it has a rigid foam lining and i'm pretty sure you could drop this out of a plane and it would survive. It also has the detatchable lid so you could possibly use this for a mixer or mod it into a pedalboard or such like... External dimensions are 18cm by 50.5cm by 42.5cm. Internal dimensions are 16cm by 45.5cm by 36.5cm, and it weighs about 6.2kg. Not really sure on a price for it, make me an offer, but unless its collected it'll cost a shiny sheckle to courier it. More interested in trades for maybe a chorus or half decent tuner pedal (yeah, i went and bought a Behringer tuner pedal..) or maybe a 4U rack case or anything else that may tickle my fancy. I'll have it in London with me over the weekend in case anyone near there fancies it, just let me know on here. Cheers y'all!

14. These are amazing amps, i bought one S/H a few months ago and was astounded by how good they sound. When they first came out in about '94 or whenever they were £599 new! Good luck with the sale mate.
15.
I've got a sealed pack of D'Addario Pro Steels 50-105 that I'd swap for the 45-105 nickels (never heard of SIT, but happy to give them a go...)
Cheers for the offer my man, but i'm really after something like .50/.70/.90/110s or heavier. But yeah, S.I.T strings are superb in my opinion, sound and feel great, and last a lot better than most. And to be honest Ben, i just can't be arsed to flog them and then buy more, i'm just a lazy git who's after a straight swap. And i've just never liked Elites, they seem to go dead on me quickly and feel a little too "scratchy" for me. Thanks anyway though amigo!
16. Righty-ho, i've just joined a heavier-than-matal group and we're tuning down to a lovely low-C, but the strings i have on the bass i'm using are flapping around a bit, so i was wondering if anyone might have any heavier gauge strings lurking around they might wanna trade with me? I have a set of La Bella Slappers (.44/.64/.84/103) S.I.T Power wound nickels (.45/.65/.85/105) and two sets of GHS Bass Boomers (.45/.64/.80.100) Obviously they're all new and still in original packets, and i'm after pretty much anything except Rotosounds or Elites. Cheers y'all!
17. Good luck with this one Rob, if i weren't so damn skint i'd love this beauty.
18. Hiya Kev, PM me your addy mate, i've got a new C string doing nuttin that you're welcome to, i'll get it in the post to you.
19. Just seen this on eBay if its any good for ya'....? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bass-guitar-for-dumm...p3286.m14.l1318
20. Thats a great price for that mate, if i weren't so broke i'd have it off ya' in a second. Have a bump on me!
21. Oh man i'd love some, don't wanna be greedy but as many as you can spare would be great, either colour would be great. I'll PM you mate, and i'm more than happy to chuck you some cash to cover postage and packing. Cheers!!
22. If i had the money mate i'd have it off you in a second, good luck with the sale Rob.
23. Come on folks, this is an amazing bass at an outstanding price. If i weren't so skint i'd have it back in a second Stu, its sooooo nice. Best of luck mate.
