Would you be interested in a trade for a set of D'Addario Chromes (Flatwounds) ECB80SL Set Super Long Scale 40-95? I'm going the other direction from you, having loved light gauge strings for years, I'm now loving heavier strings.
Cheers for the offer amigo, but flats just 'aint my thang. Thanks anyway though To be honest I just don't like the tone of Elites, they sound a little too "brittle" for my liking, not a very nice bass response to my ears, and I just hate the feel of Roto's. They sound ok, but they feel like your playing a rusty cheese grater to me. And they seem to die waaaay too quickly for the price. -
After recently spending some time testing out how I feel with lighter gauge strings, I've decided that they're for me so i'm flogging off some sets of standards so I can buy some lighter ones. All are obviously brand new and unopened. All prices include P+P, and would possibly trade for any decent brand of light-ish gauge strings (except Elites or Rotosounds.) D'Addario XL Coated, .50/.70/.85/105 (Officially titled EXP160's) 3x sets of, £14. Ashdown Envelope Filter Pedal For sale £26 posted.

Right, I bought this thinking it would be cool but then realised it won't fit my Blackberry phone, and really can't be arsed to go back to south London to get a refund. Essentially what it is is a headset to be used to join your iPod/MP3 player and your phone together, so that you can listen to music and then also use the same headset to make hands-free calls. The gumf on the back of the box says it better..... I'm pretty sure its the right jack for Nokia phones (as the picture on the front of the box shows.) As I haven't taken them out of the box then i'm not positive, but I think you can also just use them as either headphones or as a hands-free headset individually. I'm thinking that £12 posted sounds fair, but feel free to make offers of whatever you might have in mind.... Cheers!

Righty-ho, what we have here for sale is the much revered Ashdown Envelope Filter pedal. I bought this off a lovely BC dude a few months ago, and as much as I like it I only really use my Digi BSW pedal, so this might as well go to a new home. These pedals got rave reviews when they appeared in the pages of Bassist magazine and they got something like 91/100 from (I think) Stuart Clayton. I'd best describe the sounds available as subtle but effective. The bad side of this is that they're only really meant for passive basses (damn you Ashdown) and that the VU needle-meter thingy at the top don't light up. And a few patches of paintworks a bit scabby, as you the pictures show. But it still works fine, so lets call it £26 posted (because these things weigh a bloody ton and the postage is gonna be a bugger.) PayPal or Bank Transfer please, Cheers y'all!
Trade for a Korg DTR-2 rack tuner? Let me know. Cheers
Cheers for the offer amigo, but i've realised that I really do need a decent floor tuner as opposed to anothe rack jobby, thanks anyway though... Price wise, i'm really not sure what to ask. S/H Strobo 1's go for around £70/80ish, and i'm watching a Strobo 2 on Evil bay now and its sat at £90 with over another day to go. I'm guessing that around £80 is fair, so considering the going-rate prices of other S/H pedal tuners the cash adjustment would go something like.... Boss TU2 (go for around £35 S/H) so add £45-ish... Korg DT-10 (go for around £35/40 S/H) so add £40/45-ish... Although obviously this is dependant on the condition and current market prices. I just missed out on a TU2 on Gumtree the other day that was "as-new" and went for £18......! Cheers for thie interest though everyone. I keep getting told to stick with it and give it more of a chance, so strike while the irons hot! -
I've decided to get rid of my Peterson Strobostomp tuner, basically because I just don't like the readout on it. I've had some history with this.... I bought it, and for the first time a few months ago decided to plug it into a mains adaptor, and it went bang. It was officially dead, smoke and everything, so I contacted Peterson to see if any replacement parts could be bought. They were more than amazing and sent me the whole new innards for it, so the only original thing I had to keep was the metal casing. (the blowout was my fault, its american voltage and polarity and I just overloaded it with the adaptor I used. Using it on the battery is fine though, and it last forever....) I fitted the new guts, and its obviously as amazing as it should be now. The only thing to intrigue me now is that the note encolsed with the new insides said "We've sent you the new improved version." As I looked and compared it to the old insides it was true, this one has one more switch inside the battery compartment (3 instead of 2) and my only guess is that they've sent me the new Strobostomp II innards (although i'm not postive.) Anyhow, everyone knows how superb these things are. Here's the link to the Peterson website so you can read for yourself why they're regarded as probably the best stage tuner available; http://www.petersontuners.com/ But the website should just say; Does everthing, its bloody great. You can save your own preferred odd-tunings, its got settings for basses/guitars whatever, including the buzz-feiten system, plus tonnes of other stuff for capo tunings/drop tunings, a D.I output, and god knows whatever else. My only problem is that I just don't like the display readout. It takes me ages to remember which way is flat/sharp and it just gets on my tits. So what i'm after ideally is a swap with or without cash adjustment. I'm after a decent pedal tuner, but may be tempted with a rack tuner (not Behringer, already got one and the trackings toooooo bloody slow for me.) May also possibly be tempted with a multi-fx, let me know what you have... Its never been gigged or even taken to rehearsals, i've had a cheapo behringer tuner pedal in my floorboard. Anyway, heres the beasty shown working (so you know i'm not flogging a lemon) and let me know if there's any interest. Cheers!

Righty-ho, I've had this sat around for bloody years and i'm never going to get around to doing anything with it, so its up here as a freebie to anyone interested.... Its actually a Squier bass from the early 90's, but i've never seen one in the same shape since. It began life as being black, then I sanded it to its natural finish as it is now. If you wanted to get it up and running again you'd need new everything, (pups, bridge, jack) maybe the meachineheads are ok but I think the rest is kaput. But the neck has a lovely fast slim profile to it, and when it was my main gigging bass (around '94) it sounded bloody lovely. Anyway, its here with me in North London (Enfield) and I want it gone, so first to collect it can have it. Please don't ask me to post it because I really can't be arsed to box it up and make the trip to the post office, unless you were gonna offer me some strings or straplocks or something, then I might be persuaded.... Anyway, here it is. The pics are crap, but then its not exactly a 2G custom bass....

Lead guitarists.....Grrrr...... Best of luck to you Peter mate, its always a massive learning curve when you join a band and play with other people, and even if this particular project hasn't worked out this time just remember that no experience is wasted. Keep plugging away at it though my good man, something will present itself to you soon enough.
