1. to be honest now the lakland has been highlighted, i think thats in a completely different league to squiers, as bubinga5 said. I'd go for that personally, but as ever its up to you
2.
Oh, yea I agree 100%. I didn't mean in "that" way, though. I meant it more in the sticky nose up way. Visualisation is a great tool for learning. It's funny you should mention that, because i'm writing a book about it at the moment. I've studied a lot of martial arts on my travels as well as played a lot of bass, and I noticed a massive similarities in how we learn both (scales equating kata's, etc) Mostly with how the mind effects our physical bodies... I used to visualize playing the perfect gig, the night before a gig, just before drifting off to sleep. The results were amazing. I also started teaching other bands that were on the road with us, also with brilliant results. I'm now writing these techniques down for other people to benefit from. It's very, very interesting stuff!
sounds interesting man, look forward to reading about it
3. good find, interparcel would cost about £40 for the same size and a 10kg weight. Let us know!
4. I've always quite liked the bongo- especially the limited edition in dargie green. mmmm.
5. my heart really goes out to you, I really hope you can find something lightweight to replace this in the future
6. if beginners get a forum so do lefties... (and I'll moderate that :brow:)
7. success! the lefty thread already reaps dividends after only 3 days! How long have you been trying to get rid of the Rick turner now mate? Would be nice to hear what Wildus thinks of it too of course
8. I wonder what the price will be on the $$ rockbass?
9. P-Nut sig is nice. The biggest thing for me is the changes in the rockbasses. Look like much more solid instruments, especially the rockbass $$, that'll be quite good methinks
10.
I would say a squier jazz is a great all-riound bass for a good price, can't go far wrong with that and very resellable.
agreed, plus you've got the extra £200 for if you want to customise it a bit in the future. Check out the for sale section too, there's always some bargains floating about
11. oh for all lefties, here's the search I use on ebay, bit better than their usual left handed section which is often wrong: link
12.
Quick Tune tuners they cost a fiver and last a lifetime.
+1 Love little tuners that cost nowt- they're often better than rack mounted ones that cost 10 times the price even if rack mounted ones look awesome
13. well ebay is a last resort to be honest. I'm happy to wait- any idea on a time scale or too early to say? This is definitely a great cab and its going at a song at the moment if I do say so myself
14. looks like nice stuff to me- looks like I'm going to get another massive GAS attack. Yay.
15. Wow, can't believe the Vigier! And a Wal! List updated on first page
16.
It's hot chocolate FFS. Hot chocolate.
