1.
Thnaks for the comments! I've owned an EBS proline 4x10 before, so I know it can bust your back a bit, hence the current 2x12 Neo EBS cab Ideally would like to use EBS again, but $$ is probably going to be an issue, I need to make a few calls today, 3 x 2x10's does appeal though. also, with a 4x10, the ashdown classic neo cabs look like they may do the job, gonna give some a blast and check the weight today Tony
did you try a ashdown neo cab?i want to try one to see the difference between that and my abm cab.Trouble is my local store dont seem very keen on getting any in,only the cheaper ashdowns.want to try out the new trace range as well but will have to drive miles for that i reckon.sorry to go abit off topic
 2. im really only interested in part trades + cash or cash type bump.
 3.
Hi I may be needing a 4x10 now, possibly 2! The ideal rig for my band is probably an 8x10 and I have access to an old Hrtke 8x10 if I want it, but I don't wanna bust my balls anymore so 2 4x10's is gonna be a better option. head is an EBS TD650, ideal pairing would be with 2 EBS 4x10, evven better would be 2 EBS Neo 410's but we are talking serious $$ there and I just can't do it. The options are, from a quick browse round the web, Trace elliot, ashdown or one of the ampeg cabs Looking for punchy mids and sweet low end, don't need zsingy highs just punchy, in yer face power So let me know what you think, maybe a few of you wanna swap your EBS 4x10 for by EBS Neo 2x12 Tony [/quote you talking the older trace elliot cab?if so that would be the one i would choose, cant remember the wattage of them off hand thou.never tried the newer trace's but there seem alot more about now.ashdown abm 4x10 not bad either, lots of bands use those,as for ampeg the 4x10he i had didnt live up to my expectations.Best thing to do is try a few out if possible.
 4.
Ah can't travel that far out. No bother, I'll keep looking...Maybe fate says no...who knows..:.)
if thats what you want get it,you will only regret it if you dont!have you looked on nevada music?
 5.
Ah shoot! the bass centre mail me today saying "We are sold out of the Peavey Tour 700 and cannot get any til mid July"... Ok, so even though they said they were in stock...Makes me question... So I guess I'll go elsewhere...Geez this always happens and I need a new head ASAP... [/quote pmt at norwich had one last time i was in,they would be glad to sell you it!2 hrs drive down and its yours,(ring first )
 6.
I have a Behringer 450H which I used to have permanently set up at a rehearsal room with a band I was in a few years back. Perfectly usable bass head and utterly reliable. I've since had a mixer and a couple of pedals from them and all have done what they were supposed to do, none have broken. Behringer just seem to be a bit of a whipping boy on this site. I've never been that impressed with Ashdown, disappointing as they were set up by ex TE people. Speaking of TE and getting back on topic, I don't know about the musical merits but if it was a 'robot wars' type face-off I'd put my TE 7215 combo in against anything of similar size, it's a hard b*s*ard
yes got to agree on the trace combo as i had one for a couple of years.
 7.
you've obviously not used the Ashdown budget equivalent
Depends what you mean by budget?wouldnt call their mag range budget.but their electric blue range is budget and yes they are sh*te
 8.
I went for the premium with insurance last week by request of the buyer. nearly £40. they did this to it.... I wouldnt trust them as far as I could throw them now. and by the looks of it, they throw around their packages. its a musicman case.. they are ment to take some hammer but this takes the piss a little! in talks with them now for compo
hope you get it sorted jb.how on earth could they cause that much damage!i might risk them but will have to get the cab well wrapped up i think.thanks for all replys most seem positive except this disaster.
 9.
If its a Glockenklang - No. If its Behrenger - Yes, and hope it gets damaged... Garry
nice one
 10. i might need a courier to pick up a bass cab and deliver to me.have read some of the pinned thread on here so thought i would get a quote from interparcel, standard is £22 +vat, economy £6.99 +vat.is it worth taking a chance on the cheaper option?Has anybody used the economy option?must be some small print somewhere
 11.
Even a Behringer. I had to to use a hired one for a gig. The 2x10 combo. Worked a treat. If i was backed into a corner, and had to play with the Ashdown, the Behringer, or Posh Spice. The Behringer would win hands down. Garry
must have been better than the one i had the misfortune of using then worst sound ive ever heard,i wouldnt choose posh spice either
 12. i had a 410he for a short time and was dissapointed with it,quiet and undistictive. But to be fair i was not using an ampeg head with it
 13.
I don’t think it’s all to do with the driver – I’m not a fan of any of the Ashdown budget amps at all. They sound f***ing awful IMO. So with this in consideration, I’d say that any other brand of combo that’s of a similar wattage would be ‘better’ (louder, punchier, clearer, more usable tone, etc…) than any Ashdown equivalent. This, of course, is just my opinion.
even a behringer?youre having a laugh
 14. the abm head i find does take some tinkering with to get the sound youre after.would not say my abm is quiet though.for best results i keep the bass and valve drive down and turn the pre-amp up so its not quite clipping into the red.got more than enough volume with plenty to spare
 15. Ashdown 600w mag amp.£240 at soundslive,value for money i would say
 16.
Just bought a CV P Bass myself and love it - well worth a go - i bought mine mail order and am very satisfied with the quality etc. Go on....sell those Ibbies and get one mail order!
totally agree superb bass for the money.shop around though because there is a huge difference price wise.
 17. squier classic vibe jazz bass, great value for money!
 18. ive tried one of these and they are as good as a mim precision, great value
 19. you dont work too well with ashdown?pity because soundslive have a uk built 600w mag head for £240,result!ashdowns after sales service is the best around as well and imho that head would go well with the cab.
