5. Hi All i have a Seymour Duncan SMB-4DS and a John East 2 Band preamp for my Stingray copy. the problem I have is how to wire them together. There are 2 terminals on the Preamp called Hot & Cold, I figured that the red and Black wires go to the Hot terminal, but do the Bare, White and Green all go to the cold? Any help much appreciated. Cheers Tony
 6. Hi Need to streamline by bass collection so very reluctantly I'm selling my 62(ish) Jamerson build I did a few years ago. This has been setup similar to how James Jamerson had his (high action and foam under bridge cover), but can be adjusted to be a normal P bass quite easily. had this set up by local Luthier and the action can be lowered to be quite low. This bass is in excellent condition. Parts are;

Mighty Mite Fender Licensed P bass neck with 62 Fender decal in vintage tint, fitted with Fender vintage reverse tuners.

Fender neck plate

High quality Alder body (bought from the BassDoc).

Fender 62 Pickups

Fender Bridge with grooved saddles

Fender Knobs and Tug Bar

KiOgon Vintage wiring loom and pots

No brand 3 ply Scratchplate

Fender Pickup & Bridge Covers

La Bella 54 Deep taking Strings (Same as Jamerson used).
Here's a simple jam of it fro you to hear https://soundcloud.c.../r-b-jam-c7-bb7

 10. I have a modified Fretless version and it's superb.
 11. Hi For sale a set of Wilkinson WJB Jazz Pickups [s]£25[/s] £22 inc postage. I pulled these from a new bass I bought recently as I upgraded the pickups. These really produce a great sound especially on a fretless. Please note these are the traditional sized jazz pickups and hence the bridge pickup is about 1.5-2mm longer than the neck pickup. Cheers Tony
 12.
For me the best I have tried is the Fender '62 Reissue, sometimes called the Fender Original.
+1 for the Fender 62 Pups (original) and a set of La Bella Deep talkin flats (and possibly some muting sponge by the bridge) and you have that lovely warm vintage Jamerson tone (you may need to make the action slightly higher).
 13. FS TC electronics PolyTune Tuner in excellent condition - £35 plus Postage.
 14. Sounds like a great idea for a separate section for 6 stringers.
 15. Phil bought a new set of Stagg Vintage machine heads from me, easy transaction, no hassle what so ever and a great guy to deal with
