  5. When my Tascam audio interface would no longer work after I updated the OS on my laptop, I vowed to never buy anything made by tascam again. I then bought an interface made by Native Instruments. After a few years this too was no longer supported after an OS update so NI was added to my sh1tlist. Surely getting the development team to spend a few hours working on driver updates to ensure support for older products after discontinuation isn't going to cost these companies much, and the goodwill it would generate is worth a lot more to them than having people like me making a consious decision to never buy anything again with their name on. Since then I've bought two focusrite interfaces and they've both worked without issue for a number of years and are still going strong after several OS updates. Similarly equipment by IK multimedia and Zoom have continued to work well beyond the date they were discontinued and are still in regular use. Phillips made me redundant over 30 years ago and I've not bought anything sold by them since.

  7. I wouldn't even be able to think about buying one as they don't seem to offer any mustangs in the CS range. If they did it would be interesting to see how they could possibly be an improvement over the JMJ.

  15. You'd think that if he's taking crap basses and trying to improve them, he'd at least bung some slug tape in the cavities to stop the noise. Good to see the tuners are all jauntily set at random angles for people affected with elephantiasis of the fingers, but how would you best describe the shape the tuners have been filed down to for no good reason? a) Testicles b) Buttocks c) Breasts
  16. I have a red one of these. It was my main gigging bass in my previous band I was in before I started acquiring JMJ Mustangs. It's a really comfy bass to play and currently has wilkinson tuners, Fender HiMass Bridge, and Fender Yosemite (American Performer) pickups. I should play it more really.
  17. Rather than swapping strings when you no longer want the brighter clank of rounds, you should use the eq on your amp to roll off some upper mids and treble to get a more flatwound sounding tone — that is what it's there for.

  20. My first drum machine was a korg KPR-77, later I upgraded to a Yamaha RX-21, then an RX-11 with an RX-21L (Latin) This was in the 80s/early 90s and the hardware machines are now long gone. Now I only use the drummers included with Logic Pro X
