  8. Just shimmed mine and the change in geometry after raising the bridge has definitely improved playability, and got rid of an annoying buzz where the Low E string was vibrating against the head of the nut it passes over at the tailpiece. Without the wiggle stick in place, the tuning seems to be stable so far, but I think I still need to prevent the bridge from rocking in its thimble — some kind of collar around the legs should sort it — anyone who's done this, what did you use and how is it working out?
  9. Unless the list has qualifying objective criteria for inclusion and ranking it is meaningless.

  11. Icky Trump — The White Stripes
  12. The Great American Bum — Cisco Houston
  13. I Give To You — Nitzer Ebb
  14. When I first saw these, I thought they'd simply be renamed sonic series in limited colours to compete with amazon cheapies, however I've noticed that the debut doesn't have the dark surround in the truss rod adjustment orifice, where the sonic does. I wonder what other costs they were able to shave off. If they did a black one with maple fingerboard I could easily be tempted to get one to mod.
  15. In A Rut — The Ruts

  22. Mad Dogs And Englishmen — Noel Coward
  23. I stand wherever there's space once the drummer has set up
  24. I popped into the Gibson Garage today. Hundreds of Les Pauls, plus other guitar models and one area of a wall about 6 feet wide with a handful of basses. Fell in love with a Korina flying V until I saw it was c£10K. Some nice Epiphones downstairs — The missus particularly liked one of the basses, a yellow newport, but again only a few basses. Everything at full list price and many of the T-shirts were £69, although there were some cheaper ones from about £28. The nicest bass in the place was probably an inverness green non-reverse thunderbird for £2200, but I already have a faded pelham blue one which cost me considerably less.
