  1. Unless the list has qualifying objective criteria for inclusion and ranking it is meaningless.
  2. Can You Fix It — Mary Wells
  3. Icky Trump — The White Stripes
  4. The Great American Bum — Cisco Houston
  5. I Give To You — Nitzer Ebb
  6. When I first saw these, I thought they'd simply be renamed sonic series in limited colours to compete with amazon cheapies, however I've noticed that the debut doesn't have the dark surround in the truss rod adjustment orifice, where the sonic does. I wonder what other costs they were able to shave off. If they did a black one with maple fingerboard I could easily be tempted to get one to mod.
  7. In A Rut — The Ruts
  8. So, which companies are dead to you?
  9. Brain Salad Surgery — Emerson Lake & Palmer

  11. The person who bought this is a smart cookie
  12. Any gig where the punters outnumber the band members plus the barstaff is a good start.
  13. I didn't even know blackstar did any bass gear apart from the Amplug thingy
  14. Mad Dogs And Englishmen — Noel Coward
  15. I stand wherever there's space once the drummer has set up
  16. I popped into the Gibson Garage today. Hundreds of Les Pauls, plus other guitar models and one area of a wall about 6 feet wide with a handful of basses. Fell in love with a Korina flying V until I saw it was c£10K. Some nice Epiphones downstairs — The missus particularly liked one of the basses, a yellow newport, but again only a few basses. Everything at full list price and many of the T-shirts were £69, although there were some cheaper ones from about £28. The nicest bass in the place was probably an inverness green non-reverse thunderbird for £2200, but I already have a faded pelham blue one which cost me considerably less.
  17. I have one of the Andertons exclusive Lake Placid Blue Classic Vibe ones. I've not really had any real cause to use it in anger so far, but its great fun to mess about on. The strings that come with it aren't up to much, and the low E was way too floppy so I put on a (not cheap) set of LaBella Bass VI flats which are a great improvement. One thing I would change if I could would be to have some way of locking the vibrato.
  18. The Ladies' Bras — Johnny Trunk & Wisbey
  19. She's Got Balls — AC/DC
  20. The main thing I remember about music lessons (in the 70s) was that at my school music was so unimportant that there was no music room, so for lessons we would trek to the neighbouring junior school to use their music room. Our music teacher was an alcoholic and some time before he was relieved of his position at some point he just stopped turning up for lessonsto spend his time in the pub a little further down the road. My class would still trek to the music room at the appointed time, but we would bring our favourite 7" singles in and take turns playing them on the class record player.
  21. Wild Is The Wind — David Bowie
  22. Like marmite, I can take it or leave it.
  23. Breakfast In Bed — Baby Washington
  24. When we look at a painting we see a frozen moment where time does not pass. This song reflects on the relentless march of time and how certain things, like aging, are inevitable. No matter how much we may want to slow or freeze time, it pushes forwards, pulling us along with it. Time, It Is What It Is Time, It Is What It Is.mp3
