I don't currently use a multifx although I do own a Zoom B3 which hasn't seen action for a number of years. I currently use a pedalboard populated with boss compact pedals. I have been considering a purchase of either an HX Stomp or HX Effects to take advantage of the dual inputs to have two separate fx chains using ric-o-sound from my 4003, however given the age of those units, I will probably wait until replacements with more processing power are available as I am in no hurry.

I don't think the price has taken into account that a complete bass with a headstock repair will be worth less than one that has always been intact. It doesn't look like a particularly clean break, and matching the metallic finish perfectly will be impossible. If the seller believes that their pricing strategy is accurate, they have nothing to lose by getting the repair done before listing it for sale.

I bought one of the thomann ones for my 4003 recently. Its a really nice case and the Ric fits in it perfectly. I wanted something with a bit more padding than the ones I already had and this looked perfect. I will use it for rehearsals & gigs where I'll be driving and can safely put the bass across the back seat of my car rather than taking the bulky rickenbacker case.

When I bought my US Precision in 1982, I liked the Cherry sunburst Ash body of one that had a fretless neck, and the maple fretted neck that was attached to a yellow body. I asked if they could get one in with the combination I liked. Once it was clear that I was in a position to buy, they swapped the necks. I expect that probably happened fairly often.

My US Fender acoustasonic jazzmaster guitar has fishman electronics with a micro usb on the jack plate with an LED to indicate the charge level. Obviously USB-C would have been much better, and mounting the socket anywhere but the jackplate would make it easier to charge.

As someone who is greatly impressed by having the right logo on the headstock of a bass, it would need to have a much nicer Fender logo to convince me to purchase one of these over a Classic Vibe.

Just got back from my local dry cleaner. The lady there was very reluctant to attempt a clean on something bearing no care label, especially with the padding. Also to fit in the machine, there wouldn't be room for anything else so she'd have to charge a minimum of £65. I think an equivalent bag is about £55 from Thomann. I found this stuff on amazon. *Might* be worth a punt for a tenner: https://amzn.to/4hniSnQ It's probiotic so if there's any left over I can make some nice yogurt with it. I think for now I'll probably stash the bag in the loft and forget about it until the summer when I can try the sunshine thing.

The febreze and bicarb haven't shifted all of the smell inside the case. I'm thinking of taking it to be dry cleaned. — Is that likely to work? — or could it ruin it? Does anyone here have any experience of taking something similar to a padded gigbag to be dry cleaned?
