  1. Always remove mine as it gets in the way - a lot!
  2. Certainly love mine!
  3. Coming to this very late. I never met your dad, but his books helped me in my journey. I still have my 'What Bass' on my bookshelf and still regularly refer to it. Please accept my condolences at this time.
  4. Hello, good evening and welcome - never a frosty reception here. Happy NY and welcome to you.
  5. Neeps, I have as much chance of completing this as a snawba' in Hell. If I stop buying basses, I couldn't live with the thought of all the retail staff I'd put on the Broo. To all masochists and saints out there - best of luck and 'no gain = pain'. 🤭
  6. Sorry to read this one Steve. Stress can be a pig when it takes over. I can't/won't attempt to talk you out of your decision as I don't know what the root cause is, but I would urge you not to sell up too quickly. Give yourself time to see if things change. Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best. Remember, you don't have to be a 'player' to be on BC.
  7. Yep, started as a beginner on flats and still have some of the herd strung with them. 👍
  8. Oh, that brightened my day. GLWTS
  9. @neepheid has called, asking me to let you all know that you are wasting your time sending him any message before 3rd January, as he is currently (and until said date, will remain), pis*ed. 😵‍💫
  10. Say to her, "Only if it's a seven string fretless with fan-fretless neck and she's taking lead vocals"
  11. Les Holroyd provided my first live hearing of an Alembic. Mind blown.
  12. Love a Bongo (Santa take note) Hate a Big Al (Santa take note)
  13. Dr Hekyll and Mr Jive - Men at Work
  14. Post Wooly but Jl and MP and LH are all there. Concert for Berlin
  15. Sky Arts on 22nd.
  16. Yep. Just watching a BJH concert ont' telly.
  17. I wonder what Leo would have made of it all? 🫨
  18. Bingo - great for 'house' music?
  19. "They'll be dancing in the streets of Ellon tonight!"
  20. In the spirit of the season, of course it does. Enjoy your jamming.
  21. Nothing fancy. Just thought it was time for me to wish each and every person on the forum a fine Christmas. "God bless us, every one." Transmission ends.
  22. Just pondering how many 'bass-journeys' will begin next Monday morning and how many will remember this in the years/decades to come. Is that a tear that's making the screen go blurry? Probably a bit of grit in my eye. If anyone out there is planning on giving a loved one a present of a bass this Christmas, may I say a sincere, 'good for you', and wish the recipient a lifetime of pleasure from your gift.
