1. I was also looking into the BA series for its Compactness, it weighs in at around 31lbs & is rather cheap at £170
 2. Hi guys, Anyone got one? & more specifically (being only 35 watts) can you use it for on-stage monitoring when DI'd? The FX loop feature seems interesting, I could bypass the on board pre-amp & use my VT Bass. Thanks, Sam
 3.
I don't know how the 2014 T-Birds are, but I'm glad I did my 2014 SG Std. I like the 120th Anniversary 12th fret marker.
That is beautiful.
 4. Hi guys, Recently my Thunderbird has started going out of tune rather frequently, every few songs or so. Not massively, just slightly flat. I had it set up & new strings put on it in August, so is it new string time or something more serious like new tuners? If it's the latter, i'm looking at Hipshot Ultralites. Thanks, Sam
 5. Not a fan of elaborates when it comes to inlays. Just stick with the dots! I'd buy a Goth Thunderbird if it didn't have that stupid Roman Numeral at the 12th.. And maybe without that awful matte finish..
 6.
It looks good. If you haven't pulled the trigger on one, Drop The Hammer NOW!.
I'd have to sell all my body parts, then I couldn't really play bass anymore I might start saving, though
 7. I haven't had any issues with my Thunderbird bridge, plays like a dream.
 8.
With all-chrome hardware (pups and surrounds), that'd look even more lovely. And something done about that frickin bridge...
Chrome Bridge & Tuners with no pickguard. I understand the issues with the bridge but the Supertone looks so wrong!
 9. wantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwantwant http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BAT14WNBC-14/ Thanks, Sam
 10. Still got the irresistible urge for a gloss black Thunderbird IV. There's one on eBay for £190 shipped which I'm umming & arring over.. Or I may wait & see if they do a Black Classic Pro IV.
 11.
Last time I ordered 200 with print on two sides I payed import tax, nearly a tenner I think. Net cost was € 0.36 a piece iirc. Grippy big .88 triangles, they last thrice as long
Doritos!
 12.
I get mine here: http://intunegp.com/.../pricing-mobile
With your own signature on? That is decent pricing though, do you pay customs?
 13.
There were a lot of great bassists that appeared in the 90's that seem never to get a mention - Micky Quinn of Supergrass, Alex James of Blur, Colin Greenwood of Radiohead come to mind. Some great and inventive work ('Tracy Jacks' on Parklie has a bafflingly odd but totally perfect line - how did he come up with that?), and though the bands could be called niche (I know that for a lot of people, Blur are a bit Marmite) the bass playing was, I think, very good indeed. I learned a lot from my bedroom years, playing along to Parklife and In It for The Money.
Colin Greenwood is absolutely fantastic, his technique is second to none and a lot of his playing is subtle. Bloom is a brilliant track & one of my favourite basslines by Radiohead. On a more recent, raw note, Jared Followill gets my vote:
 14.
The seller does other gauges too if anyone wonders
Thanks, forgot to mention this
 15.
I'm just a drummer with strings most of the time... Unless the guitarist tries to be too flash, then I head beyond the 5th fret and show 'em how it's done!
+4 This is me, or so I've been told. Our drummer spends most of his time 2 bars ahead of everyone else, 70bpm faster than everyone else & wired off Pop Tarts.
 16. Depends what mood i'm in.. Usually i'm too far in my shell too anyway. And if its a truly awful gig i hate everyone. Thanks, Sam
 17. Hi guys, Just got 24 .88mm picks for £7 here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280851482448?var=580081956920&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 God, I sound like one of those "I just made $7 on the internet" bots. Thanks, Sam
 18. Here's some horrendous footage of me playing and original with my band. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php=472192972893721 Sorry if preview doesn't show, Spent the entire gig with my back to the audience, too.
 19.
Any of Jared Followill's Thunderbird's:
Speaking of this 'Bird, anyone know where I can get a leather pickguard like that?
 20. Recently? This. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cMKx_cJ-CA
 21. I alternate between 0.73 and 0.88's. Best picks ever
 22.
That was my first thought when I saw your OP...but I think that tab is also for the Leeds recording, and the Isolated Bass video is the IoW performance, if I'm not mistaken?
You are correct Edit: Just realised, the video is also the Leeds recording. It just seems the tab isn't very accurate, or the person who wrote the tab it tabbed the wrong version.
 23.
No idea how accurate but: http://www.thewho.ne...nblues-bass.txt
Seen this before, doesn't seem very accurate to me
