NOW SOLD Here we have a very fine example of a very good quality MIJ Jazz bass which I bought a good few years back I got it from a guy in London who had bought it for his father in the early seventies but he played very little and it was stored in his bedroom for over 40 years in the original case hence the wonderful condition, even the lining is like new. I have never seen another until one came up here recently with the Kimbara badge and they are identical with the steel adjustable MIJ neck plate I think that these were imported under Various names such as kimbara ect.... Its in wonderful condition with no rust or pitting to the chrome hardware and is all original with both pickup covers, I have looked inside the cavities and the wood is solid and not plywood as some of these era guitars were. The workmanship is top notch with lovely binding and block inlays. A comfortable 40mm neck width When I first got it and opened the case I was shocked at how good a condition it was in, as if it came straight from the factory, there are a few very tiny dings that you have to look hard to find and difficult to photograph but that are minor Weight is 4.6 Kg which is the exact same weight as my 75 Reissue Fender Jazz A beautiful collectors piece and probably the best condition bass I have seen for that age The price includes delivery to UK addresses Any question Guys just fire away

Sold!!! When I bought this bass it was badly neglected so I decided to inject new life into it Genuine Fender reissue 57 Pickups with the raised A pole pieces New CTS pots and wiring loom New tort pick guard New bridge and chrome knobs Body resprayed in antique white Overall in very good condition with minimal fret wear. decent action width at nut is 40mm and a comfortable Jazz like neck weight is 4.2 Kgs Now it plays and sounds a lot better than when I got it I spent a lot of time and money into this project but my asking price is a lot lower than what I spent but it was a labour of love I will include free delivery to UK addresses, no case but it will be well boxed for the journey. -

Thanks Andy, came out better than I thought it would, did you spot the body shape...🤔
-
yes you can just about see it when it was sprayed red, such a pity to cover up that lovely grain

I bought this Yamaha SB1200s on Ebay before Christmas, a previous owner removed the stock pickups and replaced them with cheap ones, tuners were in bad shape but the body was in good overall condition despite the routing. So I striped it all down to the bare wood and oiled it with gunstock oil. New P an J pickups, new kiogan loom and it all turned out well.

I sure did Andy...

I have purchased it now, its a MIT model.. Finally got my BB1100s today, its in near mint condition bar the 2 cracked knobs but I have to agree with @AndyTravis no difference to the MIJ model as I had one previously and I can't tell the difference..
