  1. Id say yes maybe you're right. Ive been looking up MIJ pickups from that time, and some had a ceramic bar magnet. It would explain the tone, which is quite bright with a strong output.
  2. Ive had a major life upheaval so need to sell a lot of my gear. listing my MIJ 75RI Fender jazz in natural Ash/maple. Its a bona fide "non export" as it has the proper 70s pickup spacing Its a 95 model and was bought NOS in japan and exported over by a pro player who took it to a tech and had full CTS/switcraft pots and Lollar pickups fitted. He then put it in a case and left it for years! the thing is immaculate save for a ding right on the top of the headstock done by me recently 😩 I fitted a Badass2 bridge and it sounds bloody glorious, its pretty much a Marcus Miller all you'd need to do is add a preamp (i use a sadowsky pre pedal with it) heartbreaking to sell but i need cash. Id be looking for £975 delivered, itll come with an old hardcase.
  3. Im afraid not Ste.
  4. Up for sale is a pedal that's been a staple sound on my board for a long time. The Emma Okto Nojs is a very dirty/synthy pedal, and a whole plethora of synth tones can be had with this! Just add filter and Analog synth heaven. It's two pedals in one Octave - this is a very deep and plummy octave, it has a filter, so can go very deep to buzzy like a sawtooth wave, it does the OC2 thing well. It tracks very well, and has the internal "bass" setting, which i think helps a bit more. Fuzz- this Fuzz is in two parts, the first is a very dynamic synth Fuzz, with a subtle octave up sound as you play higher up. This sounds very similar to the 3 leaf you're Doom currently going for tons of money online, great for Moog like tones. It also has a fuzzy square wave tone an octave down, with a volume and colour (tone) so it can be used alone or in conjunction with the normal Fuzz sound. When Fuzz and octave are switched on together, they run in parallel for a cleaner more dynamic synth tones. It's in fantastic condition, with a pretty blue Octopuss orgy on the front, and with the original box. £100 incl UK only delivery
  5. Up for sale is one of the greatest synth filters ive had the pleasure to use. Its got a plethora of features including the usual up/down filter and a very cool step filter. The step filter provides random tones, very electronic sounding and can be adjusted to emulate a tremelo or phaser. Such a great sounding filter for lovers of synth. Its in as new condition and comes with the original box, i havent had the chance to fit it to my pedalboard, so no velcro. Id keep this, but need cash currently. If you can find these (difficult), they are quite expensive. £110 posted to the uk
  6. I recently got this Hens teeth pedal, but need a clearout. Its an original Canadian jnr pedal, the majestic BCP1 in a smaller format with top mounted jacks. I know these have been reintroduced with new features, i had read they dont sound the same, but i couldnt comment. It instantly fattens the sound while adding a lovely sheen. It is in as new condition, however doesnt come with the box. £210 including next day delivery to the uk.
  7. Ive got some white and cream jazz pickup covers, if the buyer wants then, ill happily donate.
  8. For sale is my washburn AB10 acoustic bass in black. This was originally bought new by the previous owner to learn on, however it was left for years and the action was like the fourth bridge. I took it to a local tech, who took the truss rod as far as itll go, and cut the bridge saddle adjusted the break angle to lower the action. Its been fitted with some TI jazz flats, its got a very playable medium/low action, but there is some unavoidable buzz roughly around fret 14 owards(tech suggested a fret levelling would cure this, you wouldnt need to go up there anyway 😊) id suggest keeping those strings on. The preamp works perfectly and sounds great. Ive no case so would prefer collection, but would post at buyers risk. £150
  9. Thanks 😍 Its difficult to capture on camera, it just looks black sparkle. Its more of a very dark grey, it goes Dark Green under certain lighting, saw this online its spot on.
  10. selling my USA Stingray 4HH Its a 2006 model in Sapphire Black (kind of a charcoal grey sparkle) with a moonstone pickguard (lovely green/silver). Its the 2 pickup model with the 5 way switch, but i mostly use it on back pickup or both, which gives me the classic ray bark, or a very modern dual humbucker tone reminiscent of a WAL/Ken Smith or MM Sabre. Single coil positions are available which remind me of a grindy Rickenbacker tone (but ricky owners would disagree) Its in decent condition, but has been well played. The neck is a beautifully flamed maple which has darkened to a lovely patina, i have been waxing it. Its quite wide like a P bass, but very shallow front to back, so is very comfortable, with a sumptously rich dark rosewood fingerboard. Theres some oxidisation on the pickups, as well as one or two very small dings in the finish (which is pretty much unblemished), very much in keeping with its age. The downside it weighs just under 11lbs, yes i realise 90% are now wincing, but it feels fine with a decent padded strap. Theres no OHSC regretabbly, but ive a semi hard case ill include. I will take £1000 posted.
  11. Why has no one bought this! I want it
  12. One day ill have the cash and my JV will be refinished in Sherwood Green by Dave Wilson.
  13. Oooh, that looks nice, shame im skint! GLWTS
  14. Ive got some vintage clover leaf tuners incoming (period correct for my bass) so moving on my Gotoh lollipops. Its an iconic look, these have been on the bass a while so while in great working condition, They have started to oxidise and thus look roadworn. These will suit an older bass with the large vintage plate (60's jazz/p) or a light relic build, PLEASE dont consider buying if you want new and shiny (although they will likely come up as new wth silvo) £45 posted to the UK only, ill hopefully have the new ones in the next few days, these will then become available. Ill take some off bass pics then.

  15. Ill bet if you plug them all in, your bass will sound like a fridge door opening.
  16. Ive not posted my last clutch of new pedals, theres been a couple 🤣 Aotearoa intermodulator - built by the wonderful @LukeFRC its a Prunes and custard clone, but very small and rediculously well made. Its a damn funky touch sensitive synthy fuzz. Diamond Bass comp Jnr- id forgotten how great these are, subtle fatness and sheen, works beautifully with other pedals, this is for the big fusion board. MXR Bass chorus Deluxe- i love this pedal, lovely subtle but warm chorus, with a fantastic Flanger and the best colour. EBS Multi comp - one of my favourite, with three great sounding modes. This is for the smaller board used for my rock and soul bands. Emma Okto Nojs - dual pedal, versatile octave and a synthy octave up fuzz as well as an octave down fuzz, very synthy. Subdecay Prometheus filter- very resonant and versatile filter, tons of synthy sounds available, not the easiest to dial in, bur rewarding when you do. Best used with octave /fuzz as its not really a bootsy type filter
  17. Tempted if i can get the cash together. No room on my board though 😅
  18. This picture makes me happy.
  19. Wow, id love to try an Alma, ive an original Diamond Jnr (not the solid gold version) but the clean blend and attack switch are great additions. How many comps do you have Jim? 🤣
