1. Assuming that nothing is actually attached to the plate, you could consider fixing it onto the bass with something like photographic adhesive spray - then you wouldn't need to put screw holes into your lovely bass. G.
 2. ..............or a Hohner B Bass V? G.
 3. Try here: http://www.axesrus.com/axenob.htm and scroll down a bit - don't think they're walnut tho'. G.
 4. I use soundclick.com. G.
 5. You need a mechanics degree & a user's manual just to play that bass!!! I can be impressed by it all, but find it self-indulgent and relates little to what I do. G.
 6. Alternatively, players who don't turn up!!!! We've (see my rant about lack of drummers in North Notts) arranged at least two rehearsals at hired room where the drummer for audition simply didn't show. Not a word. Nix. G.
 7. Try a Marshall Guv'nor II - it has a 4 band EQ. G.

 15. All gone into tip.
 16. I was in Abu Dhabi last year and there were a few there. The one I was in had most well-known makes, but specialised in Cort (surprisingly good) and had a good ranger of prices. G.
 17.
It's very good. Not what you want to know but...

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, but you can start a little later and/or finish a little earlier
On the website, it says you can make a standard precision or jazz style bass with a simple lacquer finish - you do have some freedom to make something a little more sophisticated, but there is only so much time.
You make the body, neck and fingerboard from raw wood.
Wood and hardware is high quality.
Typically use light machinery and hand tools
You'll make mistakes

Not enough time to make a 35" scale neck-through 5 string Jazz, then? G.
