6. https://media.ccc.de/browse/conferences/camp2015/camp2015-6973-a_hackers_approach_to_building_electric_guitars.html#video Worth watching, a bit lengthy but i think it covers most of the areas of guitar and bass making with plenty of nice pictures.
7. bought a Midget T from Stephen and i even got a free home delivery in person top bloke thanks
8. Actually the buyer was just a bit late on the email
9. And the Ibanez is now gone....
10.
What's the price drop on the Ergodyne?
it was 300£, it is now 250£ there is a smaller price drop on the Spector because I love it more
11. how a bout a trade ? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/265028-spector-ns2b-and-ibanez-ergodyne-eda-905
12. J'accepte aussi les euros pour info de façon tout a fait désintéressé, je traverserai le nord de la France en voiture le 24 juillet au soir (english version) I take euros and i can tempt a potential buyer with free delivery... anything to trade in to make the bill sweeter ?
13. Bump, open to trades and offers too...
14. I've (once again) reached and passed my number of allowed bass at home limit, so i need to let some go. Here are the two unusual ones for today : - One white Spector NS2B 4 string, fitted with active tonepump preamp ; 270£. [s]- One Orange Ibanez Ergodyne EDA 905 five string with orange strings. This one has piezo and magnetic pickup and an active preamp too : 250£ (GONE)[/s] Pictures below, both basses have Schaller strap locks, new strings and are well setup (i.e. gig ready). due to their age they also have free bumps and scratches here and there but nothing affecting playability or sign of a structural damage. Both basses are located in Cambridge i can arrange courrier if you want to take the risk. I'll also be travelling all the way to south-east of France soon, so i could deliver on the way if needed.
15. I might be interested by the RH750 if you split
16.
Nah! Even if it turns out not as you expect, you can at least move it back on just as quick.
Well that's the problem, i know what to expect, and i know it is good... I already have two Carvins and i play them on a regular basis but no 5er... these piezzos are so good.
17.
The only issue is the slight crack in the 'Mute' button, quite common to these amps (it happened with my RH450 too), and which has no effect on the sound or operation.
I have the same amp and this problem should be a no brainer to a potential buyer : it is covered by TC warranty, just email them and they will send you a new set of buttons to replace to original ones. I've done that on my staccato and it's easy to do GLWTS as can't hardly justify buying a second amp now even if it is a bargain
18. the line *out* is a female XLR... looks strange... :/ why is that ?
19.
I've just caught up with thread and a very heartwarming one it is too.... A great effort by a great community of musicians. So my question is this... What are the chances of it coming across the channel to France? I live in the sunnybit down on the Med and have lots of contacts with bands and venues here. My band would certainly like to be involved. There is a huge festival scene here in the summer months and I could see this bass covering a lot of kilometres. There is a well supported network locally for families touched by cancer, mainly French but large numbers of ex-pats are also involved. I'm sure they would take on some publicity to help things along. If someone thinks its doable, let me know.
I travel quite a bit between cambridge and marseille, so i'd be happy to ferry the bass to south of france if it is needed
