Sold Marcus Miller V7 Swamp Ash-4 TS - 4 String £260 Still replacing funds from a naughty unplanned purchase. Great bass for the money - I don’t really need 2 jazz basses so looking to sell this or my Sandberg to replace funds. Good all round condition, a small flaw on the underside of the neck, appears that the routing is a little deeper than was necessary. Apart from that barely a mark on it. No fancy Marcus Miller gig bag I’m afraid but I do have the original box. Copy and paste of spec.
· Neck: 4-bolt 1-piece hard maple, maple fretboard with binding and pearloid block inlays, natural bone nut.

· Neck Spec: C-Shape, 34" scale, 7.25" radius, 38mm nut, 20 medium/small frets, truss rod adjustment at heel.

· Pickups: Marcus Super Jazz Alnico 5, USA heavy Formvar wire, 60s spacing.

· Tone Circuit: 18V Heritage-3. Vol/tone stack, blend, treble, mid sweep/freq stack, bass, active/passive switch.

· Bridge: Marcus Big-Mass 1, through bridge/through body, string spacing 20mm
Based in Chorley - £260 collected, would expect any prospective buyer would want to see/feel the flaw.

Sandberg California TT (JJ) 4 String Natural Active / Passive Took this bass recently in a trade - since taking it I’ve not replaced funds from a naughty unplanned purchase so offering this up for sale, Active / Passive version - so pull the vol pot to turn the treble knob into overall tone control. In great overall condition, very slight bit of a dry spot to the right of the bridge pickup from thumb placement, nothing else worth of a mention really. Comes with Sandberg gigbag. Spec is: Sandberg California TT4 Swamp Ash Natural Passive Bass Neck: maple, 6 x bolted Fretboard: 22 frets Scale: 34", Body: Swamp Ash Finish: Natural High Gloss Finish Pickup: 2 Delano Pickups Sandberg Standard Gig Bag Happy to send any more pics or details. £700.

P Bass Neck - Harley Benton - Standard Series - "True Quality Sound" (!) it says on the headstock. I bought this as a project to build a bass from cheap wood and pickups but with an high quality preamp. I'm not going to get round to doing it so offering this back up. It's a marked as a Deko, as I believe the original bass body had a cosmic flaw - nothing wrong with the neck at all. I believe it was off a Harley Benton P/J £20 and its yours.

Farida HB20: I sold this a couple of years ago and regretted it so when the chance came up to buy it again I managed to pick it back up last year. Fairly reluctant sale as my MIJ Yamaha TRB has not sold so I’m going to offer this up to replace funds from a recent unplanned naughty purchase. Links to previous Basschat sales threads here: http://basschat.co.u...rida-hard-case/ http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2612483 Quite a rare beast - very Spector esque - lovely inlays in the 'board. Great bass this is, very under rated are Farida basses, very lightweight, certainly the lightest bass I've ever had at Weight is 3.4kg or 7.5lb Set neck (so think Les Paul), Mahogony body which is very lightweight (I though Mahogony would be heavy - it's not). Gotoh hardware, high quality parts and craftsmanship. Nice little Farida branded hard case - a bit worn - fit's the bass like a glove. Part of the Hypersonic range, 24-fret HB20 offers a wide range of great bass tones with active pickup configuration. As always, any trial or inspection welcome. Pics below, there are some better pics on the other threads linked above, quite a difficult bass to photograph:

Hello BC'ers. Are there and North West Based bands who would like / want to / need to share a gig. My new band The MidNines did our first gig on Friday - we were very well received and would like to hook up with other local bands where possible. We are an original band, currently with 60 mins of material. Links here to our FB page. https://www.facebook.com/TheMidNines/?fref=ts We are easy going, good gear, great songs and keen to get other there as much as we can.
I'd be happy for this to exist and if it did there should be a gigantic sticky that says, "USE A METRONOME". Honestly if I'd known how useful metronome practise was from day one my progress would have been A LOT quicker. There are even free metronome apps for your phone now, you've simply GOT to do it.
Looking back on my 20 years of playing: Completely agree on metronome. Learn to read, ...music and charts - maybe not so much TAB, but the TAB argument / No TAB argument has been done to death many times. The Major's resource on here is fantastic: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/74284-the-majors-bass-boot-camp-session-index-1-36/ And, jam along to favourite tracks - as a beginner I wouldn't worry too much about the actual notes (ie the pitch of the notes) but have fun with the: rhythm timings, note length, phrases, articulation, dynamics
