    I’ve got some of Bareknuckle jazz pups & they are very good indeed … even luthier who installed them was asking what they were as he thought they were some of the best he’s ever heard ! Can only assume these p pups are of equal quality …..

    SOLD T-Wrex by ThorpyFx Clone of Wampler Triple Wreck … doesn’t loose low end for bass but it’s not subtle lol .. true bypass … can get a bit noisy if you crank it … would be good for synth tones with other effects here’s what original owner wrote … Fantastic box of gain, literally so much gain on tap even in the low gain mode. ThorpyFx are now making there own pedals and have stopped doing clones and as far as I'm aware this was the only T-Wrex made? so I don't think you'll won't find another one. Instead of the rubbish Wampler Contour Boost this has a Svex SHO Boost Circuit with buckets of volume!! The Gain & Boost can be used independently. Like the Svex SHO there is a crackle when you turned the knob and the boost is engaged so I just set it off then compared by engaging. Finished in Orange Sparkle with box and control layout. Controls: (From top left across) Volume > Gain High/Low > Gain Boost Vol > Treble > Middle > Bass Powers only by 9V PSU Boss style adaptor NOT 9V cell

    I used to have a Dingwall ABZ5 but now use a Vigier Excess 4 (passive) .. both great, well made basses ... I prefer the Vigier .. I play heavy rock / metal

    I’m awaiting delivery of a new poweramp to serve as both bass & home hifi setup (I do use different preamps) .. so yeah I’m all for amps, never used iem so can’t comment on that but prefer amp / cabs over headphones even at home

    I don’t have a Helix but I’d be very surprised if it didn’t have a dedicated (XLR) DI out for FOH etc & a separate (un)balanced line out for driving a power amp or just going direct into a bass or guitar amp probably in the form of either a TS (unbalanced) or TRS (balanced) jack socket out .. probably with separate volume controls, I haven’t read the manual though lol As far as power amps .. as long as your Helix sends a strong enough signal (line level) most power amps will work but how much dya wanna spend ? I’m actually selling a very powerful, high quality power amp that I think will really make your super twin shine .. it’s worth a look as it’s a Lab Gruppen but there are loads of power amps out there (cheap to really expensive) ... time to do some research lol ... you can also use most bass amps that have a ‘return’ or ‘power amp in’ socket which will bypass the amp’s preamp (as long as it’s a serial effects loop) ...

    I’ll throw in Yamaha 2U EQ & brand new 4U Gator case (£80) makes a nice dual amp setup with high power & top quality in a nice combined package
