1.
The crazy big board is finally fully functional after chasing out some MIDI gremlins and finding a MIDI chain where everything works ... For those interested ... wiring diagrams and MIDI Designer layouts *here*.
You've gotta make a vid showing this immense board !
2.
Out of interest, what's the point of the Moose? Si
as FretNoMore says ... Moose selects presets stored in hub, so pedal board can be on amp or in a rack etc & just moose out front which can also run on 9v battery ... Aftershock so far gets close to Darkglass sound (was a must really) & run all through amp's effects loop as Source Audio pedals can take line level ... will update pic as now have Nemesis (may also add Vertigo but will need nano+), both pedal board & moose fit in back of rack case
3. Bought a pedal off Darren & smooth transaction .. deal with confidence guys
4. Got this Rockboard Solo a couple of months ago but its just a bit too small. It's basically a Pedaltrain Nano, so anyone wanting to downsize from a Nano+ ? Or just sell a Nano+ ? cheers Si Ps. Solo is like this ... https://www.gak.co.uk/en/warwick-rockboard-with-softcase-solo/113070
5. Email bareknuckle pickups
6. I've had Gator which was fine, now have Boschma which is also fine & also just got a Citronic lldpe as Boschma no longer deep enough for my new amp, this one is nice too, so don think you can go wrong with any of them, SKB looks good too but are much more expensive, not sure how much better they are. Think they're all similar weight tho the Boschma is lightest I've had but it is the shallow version.
7. Nano MIDI board (Subdecay Echobox in loop of Aftershock) .. so just the Moose to stomp on Update: Nemesis replaced Echobox
8.
Yes there appears to be a distinct lack of interest among my work colleagues with regards to bass gear too... Mrs C also doesn't seem overly bothered... The cat however is always interested in anything new that comes into the house... although admittedly more from a sniffing and working out if it'd be good for claw sharpening / sleeping on perspective, than a wider interest in the subtle aspects of bass tone.
Yeah ... my cats couldn't care less about bass gear (cept when playing as they scarper) but they do love the cardboard boxes lol !
9. Ook jammer dat ik nooit naar Ned met de auto ga .. mijn vrouw wil altijd vliegen lol !
10. Yes and he's been great. He's not had this problem but has offered to cover repair or reimburse me. This is exactly why I love dealing on Basschat, I've yet to meet a dishonourable bassist on here Si Ps. I sold a new amp to guy in Czech, he said it was faulty (too much hiss), he posted back to me & I reimbursed him then sent amp to manufacturer as it was under warranty & they tested it & said it was fine .... go figure lol
11. Hi all, Recently got this preamp off fellow BCer & have noticed a strange crackle type noise as the note is dying. At first I thought it was the cab I built but I just tested it with a new power amp I got today & I don't get this noise with just through the power amp It might be something simple to cure but I was expecting the Glockenklang to be super quiet etc I've recorded it but don't know how to upload an audio file ... Anyone have an idea what this might be ? And know any good amp techs in Leeds/Bradford ?
12. Opinions ..? I'm considering getting one, also where's the best place/price ?
13. No but the all the parts / speakers / crossovers are from an Omni 15. I decided to build a more normal type cab with ports for the 15 but still using horn for mid, didn't add the tweeter but do still have crossover for it.
14. I like the look of that 15/6 Vanderkley .. would certainly appreciate a review once you've had chance to see how it performs, I've a DIY 15/6 am pleasantly surprised by it, so curious to hear a proper pro made one
15. I'll do some prog stuff as long as it's not too complex as I'm rubbish too
16. Bump
17. Bought Glockenklang preamp off Neil, pleasure to deal with & the amp was really well packed (plenty of bubble wrap) so guys deal with confidence Simon
18. Speakers slowly being 'broken in' as I'm currently using this cab for home practice ...
19. My BagEnd 212 has great punch & really growls (atleast it did with GK RB400-IV head I had) think they like a fair bit of power ... but it isn't light at 33kg ... Barefaced Super 12 I had a few years ago would be a good light weight 212 that's certainly loud tho not the same growl I love from Bagend .. my 2c
20. SOLD - Line6 M5 (boxed) in great condition. I was pleasantly surprised by this as I only knew the Pod Hd bean which shares most effects but is made of plastic, this M5 has a sturdy metal housing & nice footswitches, feels very solid & can probably take some punishment. It also takes line level from my amp which is a bonus but unfortunately it's just a bit too big for my nano board ..... £50
21. Smooth transaction with Mark ... deal with confidence guys
