  1. I ordered ABM single bridge tuners & headpiece from Thomann but the headpiece was listed wrongly as it doesn't accommodate double ballend strings so I sent them back, however the quality was great. I then sourced an ETS bridge & tailpiece and a Status headpiece, also great quality & has really improved my Yamaha BBN5, now the B string (actually drop A) is fine where it wasn't great before, I can only attribute this to the increased mass of the hardware .... my 2cy
  2. Welkom Arjank Heb zelf een stuk 6 kasten gebouwt en zelfs 3 verkocht ! Maar laat 't nu aan de experts over lol Je zal 't vast naar je zin hebben hier ... Simon
  3. Not totally body less but less wood than before ... my (previously alyctes) Yamaha BBN5 now slightly 'modded'
  4. Pleasure doing business with you Rory
  5. Nice ... what are you replacing it with Jon ? Better not be Bass Art Classic coz I'll be proper jealous lol
  6. Only tried a couple but I like and am keeping my Pigtronix Bass Envelope Phaser ... I noticed it adds a very slight boost & added clarity on a subtle setting which works great for some chord picking esp in 'down' setting, I plan to use the 'up' with some dirt for one of our tracks if we ever do it live lol ... but I really like it on cleaner stuff dialed back a bit .. maybe worth a look
  7. I'd put my Pigtronix Quantum Time Modulator on if I had space but like suggested above I can use mod section of my Subdecay Noisebox by turning the delay off ... hence Pigtronix FS
  8. Nice bass ... After Harley/Buell/BMW enter my dream bike ...
  9. Here's a nice looking bass poweramp FS on here now ... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/274826-fs-fender-mb1200-power-amplifier/ I went down pre + power amp / powered cab route but changed back. Now I just run my B7K into the front of my GK 400RB-IV .. I could bypass the amp's pre but haven't needed to as it sounds great, better than all the different pre / power setups I tried ... just my 2c
  10. Initial impression is very good as these look quality. I strung my Dingwall ABZ5 leaving the B string on (Newtone nickel) & these have a really nice feel to them & a finer wind than the Newtone. Nice brightness but not overly so & the tension also feels good on my extra long scale, unfortunately the E string is about 17mm short of the nut, so I've made a temp shim. Andrew said these were long scale (not super). Tested them amplified at rehearsal yesterday & I think they are maybe the nicest nickels I've tried in a long time (usually use ss). Like others have said I found no brittleness or harshness, just a lovely solid tone with a bit of crunch when digging in. Tuning stability seems pretty good too as I didn't even stretch beforehand & only needed a couple of minor tune ups during rehearsal. I will certainly consider these if I choose nickels tho I might see if I can get a single super long E as I don't fancy gigging with the 'shim'. I'll report back after they've had a fair few hours of play ... thanks against Andrew & D'Addario
  11. Pity I've just restrung my headless 5 string with Elixir nanoweb as I wanted to try these coated strings but if these D'addario's fit my Dingwall ABZ5 I'd love to try a set as I don't have many string options for 37" scale cheers Simon
  12. YES
  13. Great chorus / vibrato pedal FS or perhaps trade ... Just got this brand new (with box & 18v psu etc) but a nice as it is I'm sticking with my Echobox (now withdrawn) for chorus ... Only been out the box to test. As per a post on Talkbass I think I did notice a slight drop in volume on vibrato mode. I won't bore you with all the spec blurb etc ..... http://www.pigtronix.com/products/quantum-time-modulator/ Price drop ... £85 posted
